A bit shaky
It was very simple to put together. While there were a lot of parts and it did take a while, everything was clearly labeled and the instructions were very clear and in a logical order. There was some extra hardware, but I didn't need it. The most striking thing about the hardware was the quality of the cam locks. They are very sturdy, which is rare to see on flat-pack furniture these days. The only thing that was a little unclear was the installation of the adjustable feet on the center feet. This needs to be combined with a few other steps. This can be done easily at any time, but it can affect the alignment of the doors if not installed correctly. The TV stand itself is well made and very sturdy. I mentioned in the title that it is a little wobbly, especially with the TV on it. This was disappointing because I would have thought that a stand this long and this low would be very stable. My TV is only 40 inches. I originally mounted the TV on a bracket that can swivel in any direction, but the piece of furniture wobbled too much for me to trust. So I put the feet back on the TV and it now sits directly on top of the TV stand. It still sits forward and backward, but not so badly that I was worried it would fall over. It seems as if the center foot, while providing necessary support, throws off the balance. Adjusting the height of these legs doesn't solve the problem. Also, the adjustable part of these legs is too small and hard to reach, and you have to remove the stand to adjust them. This makes it hard to keep balanced. It seems like it would make more sense to make the outside 4 legs adjustable. Despite the imperfections, this is a beautiful piece of furniture. No scratches or odors. The rustic wood color is darker and less red than many pieces of furniture on Costway, but still looks good with this color.
