Better than expected
Put 5 star because for a fold it has handled a lot for the 15 months I've used it. I throw my phone about. Have a cover and open and close my flip like a joke fairly heavy. Nobody can complain about camera quality and performance because this phone isn't made for that. You know exactly why it's made. On the next model I would like to see better battery of possible. Obviously a cheaper price. Apart from that it's exactly what it is supposed to be an average phone in an amazing package.

External screen usability
Why the phone app can't be use on external screen? Please make at least calls history useable on external screen.

You have to hold it to appreciate it.
Videos and photos of the RAZR 5G don't do it justice. It's extremely well made, solid and beautiful. The software experience is fast and responsive, the cameras are good (although not the best) and there is no crease on the screen at all. The only downside I've found is battery life; unsurprising considering the size of the phone, but also disappointing considering the price. The haptic vibration motor could also be a little more refined as it's quite loud. Overall though, a great phone that I'm proud to own.

A phone to be proud of...
I've had this phone now for several months now, and I love it. It's the first folding phone I have had, and although unfolding takes a bit of getting used to, it soon becomes easy. Being a folding phone makes it much easier to carry around as well, as it slips nicely into a trouser pocket where it can't fall out or be seen by some hopeful pickpocket walking behind. The screen can be set to any brightness of course, so even in bright sunshine, I can still see it. I can choose which apps. to show on the closed screen, including the time, very useful when I forget my watch. It has a superb camera which takes great photos and videos, and although it is 5G ready, I only have a 4G sim, which is fast enough for me. I use the camera a lot, more than any other app. and being retired, I take quite a few day trips on the bus or train. Unfortunately, my last trip was to York, and it was a very hot day, my hands were sweating and the phone slipped from my grasp, hit the ground and the outside cover cracked in a couple of places, so it doesn't look as good as it should now, although it still works as well, but it is a great pity because everybody who saw it thought it was brilliant, which, of course, it is, and the best phone I've ever had.

Great phone but flawed
Within a few months of buying my RAZR 5g it developed overheating ,then lost touch sensitivity . (Freezing) on a forced restart the touch screen refused to respond rendering imputing the numbers impossible it would take several restarts to get it going . It was returned free to myself to Motorola repairs somewhere . When returned it had totally lost all of my personal apps ect (as new) it's worked for a couple of months since with no issues . It's recently the last week started occasionally not responding to touch again . This apart it's a good if expensive mid range phone . The screen is ok in all but the brightest of summer sunlight . The camera below par for this price range . The 5g is fast . App tested on the 3 network has ranged from 120 mbs to well in excess of 200 Mbs without missing a beat . Despite what appears a massive issue this phone is recommended for it's stunning design . Admired regularly and between issues a good phone to use daily being both compact and full sized .you do however need a case it's a slippery little devil . Shame really the case adds bulk to the slim attractive design ,the design that attracted me so many years ago to my first Motorola original RAZR phones

Very happy
I've had this phone for about a month now. The folding screen takes a little getting used to, to be honest - for the first week, I was constantly afraid I'd break it(!), but paranoia notwithstanding, it's a very nice, well-designed phone. It holds its charge well (used lightly, I've been able to go several days without a charge), and I've not experienced any lag or overheating as described in other reviews. The external display is a nice touch, too, though it could stand to be slightly bigger. My only slight gripe is that I've seen better cameras on less pricey Motorola handsets - though, let's be honest, the iconic design more than makes up for that slight shortcoming.

Garbage experience.
So far my experience with the motorola razr 5 is... that it is the worst smartphone that I have ever purchased. The camera quality has been rubbish and the screen quality even worse. It barely registers finger pressure and within a month the screen has developed a strange air bubble like ridge in the middle. On top of that it constantly over heats and needs to be restarted as it freezes while in the middle of doing simple tasks like checking my notifications. I would say buy something else.
