Tasty Bite Spicy Vindaloo Simmer Sauce - Case of 6/13 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great pantry staple! My household is a big fan of Indian food so I was excited to try this. We grilled some chicken and veggies and used this as a summer sauce. It added such an aromatic, authentic flavor, and for us it was not too spicy for us. Also, for being pre-packaged I did not feel this was too salt, which is sometimes the case, and the perfect amount of flavoring without me needing to add anything. The texture is very smooth, and works great as a simmer sauce as you can easily add water and adjust as you like. We absolutely loved this and will be looking for it to have on hand the next time we’re at the grocery store. I highly recommend!

It tastes good, and within minutes you can have an easy dinner. The sause has good consistency, it has a sweet taste with a little citrusy hint, it's not spicy at all. Everyone in your family can enjoy easy and flavorful meals using this sause.

The texture of the sauce is not runny nor clumpy, just right. I added a bit heavy cream and Parmesan cheese and pasta and was delicious. It has a lot of flavorful ingredients and does not leave a strong aftertaste. Would 100% recommend

Usually simmer sauces are bland to us, however this is well worth the money. The amount of the product is also great. We will have leftovers for multiple days!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] **disclaimer** I received a free sample of this item in the mail for an honest review** I got this in the mail a couple weeks ago in exchange for an honest review. I dont have much experience cooking with this type of food, so I did the only logical thing and took it over to my bestie house and she cooked it. She made saffron/turmeric chicken with the vindaloo sauce and served over rice. She used some cream in the sauce to make it a little thinner. When she had to step out of the place and came back in, it smelled devine. Honestly, if this was my first experience of this type of food, it was an excellent one! Bestie, her husband and I all couldn't stop talking about it!!! It was the spicy jar and bestie didn't know if she would be able to handle the spice but it was perfect for all of us. We finished 1 bowl and went back for more, which is saying something! We all agreed this was a must have in the cupboard cause it was a quick make and SO good. It had a couple months of shelf life and im sure if we didn't use the entire jar, it could have been safely stored in the fridge for a while. I wish it came in something other than a glass jar just for safety reasons, but beggars can't be choosers! Must have in the pantry!!!!!!!!!!!

The worst part was waiting as my house smelled incredible for hours. You could definitely pan fry or bake your chicken as well; this is a super versatile sauce. It had a little heat that lingers on the tongue. It’s got a nice, tomatoey flavor and paired really nicely with rice. Nice time I’ll add some veggies, and I know it’ll be perfect.

The pouch packaging is convenient and easy to use, and the portion size was perfect for the meal. The sauce has nice thickness consistency and strong aroma of spices that makes the dish taste authentic, it does tastes little salty which is perfect to go along with chicken and vegetables.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a jar of vindaloo sauce for my review. I’m the only one in my house who loves vindaloo, so I made this for my lunch. I used chicken thighs - I simply combined the chicken and the sauce in a pan and let it simmer until the chicken was done. I did not add salt as I assumed the sauce would have plenty of salt in it and I was correct. I did add a drop of heavy cream at the end of cooking as I know some vindaloo recipes include it. Overall impression: this sauce is a tomato base, with a variety of spices. It is nicely flavorful, although it is not as spicy as the vindaloo I usually eat in an Indian restaurant. I like vindaloo but I am not an expert in how it should taste - more that this tastes good to me. Spice level: mild-medium. If you are a zero spicy kind of person, it might be more than you like. I like very spicy food and I would call this medium spicy at most. (It was warm and flavorful but didn’t make my nose run!) Ease of use: can’t get any easier than a dump and simmer. Love that part. Would I buy it again? I would. I liked this a lot and it made meal prep really easy. Two ingredients and done.

Taste was really good and for my family not too spicy at all . I didn’t really have an aftertaste other than a bit spiciness.

I got a sample of this and tried it with some chicken and a side of rice and some veggies I had in the fridge. It was spicy! This was perfect for the two of us, and I liked how easy it was to throw together. Solid mid week meal.

The sauce was thick, with a robust, smokey flavor. My husband and I were not particularly fond of the flavor of this sauce. I would be willing to try other flavors. For someone who loves to eat spicy foods like me, this has the perfect “kick” yet also tangy and flavorful enough to enjoy without being super spiced out which balances the taste out for a comfortable meal. It’s a sauce either way a smooth by bits of chunky feel. I think you can play with the feel of the sauce depending on the meal you’re making! I also got a tomato taste to the suave in my opinion.

I sautéed boneless, skinless chicken thighs with onions in butter and olive oil. When that was cooked through I added the sauce and simmered until it was hot. Smelled and tasted great. I served it over white rice with warm naan bread. It made about four portions and works well for a fast weekday dinner. Would purchase again
