Hunter 52" Newsome Lighted Ceiling Fan Brushed Nickel with Medium Walnut Blades and Light Kit Included

I purchased the Hunter Newsome down rod Ceiling Fan as a replacement for my Hunter Brookline Ceiling Fan because it was the most similar in appearance. The new fan installed easily and worked perfectly with the existing Lutron switches. Happy with the replacement.

They're so beautiful, with 2 in the living room ceiling, having replaced big, dark fans that were so ugly I could scream.

The fan works great, but the light fixture does not fit. The the threaded hollow stud is to short for the light globe to fit.

Had similar fan but couldn’t change the speed of the fan. Love Hunter Brand fans

Quality product. Easy installation. I have only 1 rule when it comes to ceiling fans: buy a Hunter!

It is a pretty fan. It is too cool to run it so I can't attest to the effectiveness of the fan.

Don’t bother ordering the six foot extension pipe. Because you will just have to cut off one foot of it (and drill and tap the new end appropriately) to deal with the fact that the fan only comes with long enough wire for a five foot pipe!

The fan came well packaged. My first disappointment was the longer of the two down rods was only three inches long. The installer went to the local big box store to get a 6" rod but there were none so he got a 12" rod instead. As it turned out, that was the right choice. Installation went smoothly with one exception. There are three rubber grommets for each of the five blades. They had to be installed and that was no easy task and took the longest of any of the steps. This fan replaced a previous Hunter fan and we were able to reuse the bracket that was in the ceiling. Everything else went perfectly. The previous fan had four lights with small globes that opened down, exposing the bulbs. We wanted a light where the bulbs were behind a single globe, and this one had that. Only it had only two bulbs instead of four and I was worried that it would not provide enough light. I was wrong. It provides plenty of light. When the installation was done it fit perfectly in our kitchen and offered the perfect amount of light. The bulbs that came with it were 3000K which was slightly whiter than the 2700K bulbs we use around the house, but that seemed to be the right color for the kitchen. The blades were well balanced and there is no noticeable wobble with the 12" down rod. I am completely satisfied with this fan and would not hesitate to recommend it to a friend.

The fans arrived promptly in perfect condition. They were easy to install and are super quiet. Customer support was very helpfull when I inquired about buying this model.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a new ceiling fan for our bedroom and got the Hunter 52 inch Model 53312. It features 5 blades and a whisper wind motor. It not only looks Great but is super quiet while running while offering a lot of air flow. It offers a 2 in or 3 in down rod for installation perfect for our standard ceiling height. The blades are reversible showing a medium walnut color on one side and a darker walnut on the other. The darker finish matched our furniture. The brushed nickel finish tied in nicely with our bathroom finishes which was a bonus. It came with a glass light fixture and 2 -13 watt light-bulbs in warm white. The directions for installing were easy to understand and my husband had it installed fairly quickly.
