I bought this because I read that it may be helpful with NAFL, fatty liver. It's mildly sweet, no after taste. Time will tell if it helps fatty liver.

Not practical.
Had to use a lot of it to make a difference. Not for me. Going back to stevia.

Not as sweet as sugar but works well for my taste buds and uses.
I think works well for me on cereals that I need a litte sweet than no sugar at all. Like farina and oatmeal. My hubby pours on butter and brown sugar on these things and I hate sugar even as a child hated sweetened cereals of any kind. Fought with my family over this. THey could not understand why a child would hate sugar...my dad with a huge sweet tooth benefited the most from my dislkes. He got most of my candy at Easter, Xmas, Halloween. Especially popcorn balls. (I had sensitive teeth to sweets too at age 8 and on as my baby teeth were replaced with the adult teeth which came in with what they called soft spots due to a high fever at a year old when I almost died due to whooping cough. Meanwhile I still am not a big sugar fan. This works great. It is however not as sweet as sugar for those who need that sweetness this may be expensive to use enough to get it just right. A jar on average lasts 1.5 to 3 months I use it that sparingly.

Just what I need..
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Need a reorder ASAP. I suppose that this would be an indicator of my confidence towards supplemental products.

The clear choice
We use Trehalose for industrial purposes, not as a food source. It is by far less expensive than the chemical companies, and is still of very high quality.

Good balance for stevia
This is far less sweet than stevia and makes a perfect complement. I am still learning to bake with stevia, but using trehalose as a base made it possible to make even no bake chocolate oatmeal cookies without sugar (just a little soft, but better than anything else I've tried). Considering how much it takes to sweeten, it is very expensive. I'm trying to get my friends and family off sugar, but they say they can't afford to bake with this.

too soon to tell
I do not need a substitute for sugar but I am hoping that this will hydrate my cells (plump them up) the way it was suggested on other websites. I am puzzled that those claims are not made by Swanson. Too soon to tell if it works.

Not that impressed with trehalose
I didn't notice any sustained energy from it. It takes quite a bit to sweeten beverages, so you wind up using the container up pretty quickly, and at ten bucks a pop that's not very economical. I'm gonna stick with Kal brand stevia. Won't be reordering any trehalose.

Great for hydration
This stuff is great, I mix a little bit with gatorade and it's perfect for the heat or if you feel dehydrated, really seems to absorb well.

Trehalose a excellent Sugar Replacement
I just start using Trehalose and I believe it's a nice replacement for sugar. I mix Trehalose with Lankanto Sweetner to help lower the carbs in baked goods. Lankanto is a sugar that uses both Erythitol and Luo Han Guo, which are also two of my favorites. Anyway together these two sugars make a nice combination in bake goods, and yes I will use Trehalose again. It is a much healthier for your body in the long run, and worth the extra cost. Although I do hope the cost will go down as more people by both Trehalose and Lankanto.

Good sugar substitute
I'm on a constant quest for sugar substitutes. This has become my favorite. It's only 50% as sweet as sugar but I add some Stevia to make up the difference. It cooks well and so far I have not seen any gastric problems like the sugar-alcohols can cause. It's also has a low glycemic value which is a good thing too.

Helped us eat less sugar!
I mix this with our table sugar so we get less sugar overall. The kids haven't even noticed! Unlike the whole "sneak soy milk into the regular milk" fiasco. ;-) It's actually a little whiter than table sugar, but very similar in texture. It is definitely a bit pricey, but if it can help them get less sugar in their herbal tea or cereal, then it's worth it.

pleasant surprise
I preparation for my New Years diet :) I got this to cut down on sugar. When you put your finger in the jar it feels like grainulated white sugar. The taste is like sugar but less defined and less sweet. If a recipe calls for 1/2 c sugar I use 1/3 c and a couple of scoops of trehalose. The scoop is included. The sweet flavor is there but not as pronounced. No one has complained or noticed!! Every saved calorie helps!!

Excellent sugar substitute
This product is an excellent sugar substitute, with no after taste at all. You do need to use more of this than regular sugar, but it is worth it if you need to cut down on your sugar intake. Wish it came in a bigger bottle, however. This price from Swanson is very good, considering this product is not yet widely available everywhere, and where it is found, it is more expensive than this.
