    Disappointed...why is rice maltitol the first ingredient here?

    Disappointed. When I ordered these, I had high hopes of making this my morning go-to for my coffee, since I got on my keto/18-6 intermittent fasting regimen to reduce my insulin resistence. I noticed the packets were rather large, and pure stevia are usually so potent, you need to use half the usual dose. These, however turned out to be NOT pure stevia. First ingredient listed is rice maltitol...which explains why I was able to use the full packet without finding my coffee overly sweet. Plus, maltitol, a sugar alcohol although low in calories, have glycemic index of 35, so if you are diabetic or pre-diabetic, you may want to look into other sugar alcohols like pure stevia or erythrytol...especially if you use sugar throughout the day.

    It’s maltodextrin

    The first ingredient is rice maltodextein, which can raise blood sugar. They should call that maltodextrin, not Stevia, since maltodextrin is the first ingredient. I’m tossing it into the garbage.

    PRIMARY INGREDIENT - RICE MALTODEXTRIN NOT STEVIA! AVOID THIS!

    I bought this once and only once. It went straight into the trash. I was so disappointed that I didn't examine the label more closely before I purchased because the primary ingredient here is RICE MALTODEXTRIN. That garbage has a extremely high glycemic index, much higher than white sugar. There's more RICE MALTODEXTRIN in this than stevia! 8v( What kind of nutritional supplement company has a buyer who knows nothing about nutrition and the devastating effect maltodextrin has on your blood sugars if you're diabetic/pre-diabetic? AVOID THIS PRODUCT and purchase pure stevia extract/powder instead, especially if you are trying to lose weight, get fit or are diabitic/pre-diabetic.

    Not Pure Stevia

    I was disappointed to discover that this stevia has other ingredients in it after I ordered it by mistake instead of the Organic version. It tastes really good, and sweet, but I can only have stevia.

    DO NOT BUY THIS - MALTODEXTRIN #1 INGREDIENT

    This product should get a ZERO! The first ingredient is rice maltodextrin. This is a filler and has the highest glycemic index of all sweeteners. Do not buy this if you are looking for a healthy alternative to sugar. There is more maltodextrin in this product than stevia if it is listed as the first ingredient.
