Q: I purchased 3 of these and just got them today. All 3 were zipped up nicely definitely didn't look tampered with but there are black little specks of something all over all 3. What is black specks?

This crib pad has been wash tested 50 times to ensure there is no clumping or bunching of the quilted filling; it contains just the right amount of filling for extra comfort while maintaining a flat surface for infant safety. All of our Sealy crib mattress pads, including the Allergy Protection, feature a flat design and are no more than 1” high and do not feature any raised or bumpy designs that could create hazardous uneven gaps on the sleeping surface; a flat surface is essential for creating a safe sleeping environment. The fitted SecureStay skirt wraps snugly underneath crib mattresses to hold the pad in place to prevent sliding, shifting and bunching for added security. Crib mattresses can be protected with an encasement, a fitted crib pad and a fitted crib sheet. Quality Mattress Protector!
This is a pretty great mattress protector. It is very quiet and feels like it's built to hold-up. The cotton is slightly rough until it's washed a couple of times, but that's not a big deal due to it being covered by sheets. It is waterproof, but it's more susceptible to stains than others we have used. I like that it's hypoallergenic, though, and it is priced very comparably to the others out there, so I appreciate that. Overall, if you feel like hypoallergenic or organic is what you need, this will be a very solid choice for your household.

Works great
My toddler sweats a lot in his sleep, he used this for about 2 weeks and after washing it still works and smells great. Does not trap the smell in and protects the mattress well. He is older so does not pee in bed but i would suppose it would hold similar to sweat.

Great crib protector
I’m in love with this mattress protector! First of all, it has super stretchy sides with deep pockets to completely cover my Newton crib mattress. Some crib sheets are a struggle. I also love that the cotton is organic and there’s a waterproof layer on the bottom half. Highly recommend!

Super soft and fits mattress perfectly!
I am super happy with how well the pad fits underneath the crib sheet! Compared to other mattress crib pads that we have tried, it is not bulky, and fits perfectly from end to end. It is super soft, and doesn't make crinkly noises when my daughter gets into bed. Absolutely recommend!!

Good quality crib mattress cover
If you want a no nonsense allergy protection mattress cover for your baby's crib, this is a great one. The material is strong and sturdy yet soft and flexible. It washes well considering potential for shrinking. It's easy to put on and stretches easily but still stays in place. It seems like a cover that will last until we move on to the next bed.

Quality cover
A thick, quality cover for the baby mattress, it has a light organic cotton ton. Easily fits a standard size crib mattress. I had no trouble putting the sheet over it, it for snug and didn’t budge while moving, and covering. These have quality fabric and stitching.

Not waterproof - used it for night time potty training and the pee went right through. Like it otherwise. It did absorb a lot of the pee so only a small amount got through. Would be fine for a baby wearing diapers.

Shrunk!
I like Sealy's crib protectors/toppers, but once I washed this brand-new one, it shrunk so that it no longer covers the entire top of the standard-sized crib mattress. So, I might suggest you go with another of theirs, perhaps without the organic cotton top.

Shrink too
Dont follow the instructions as other customers mention otherwise it will shrink. Either let it air dry or try the extra low heat setting. My mattress pad shrink as well even I did follow directions from the manufacture after 1wash. So keep that in mind.

Shrinks if you follow directions
Washed and dried following directions. Now is 1.5 inch gap from covering mattress surface from all edges. Not acceptable. I should have read others reviews saying the same.

Does it's job
Have a toddler that seems to take off his diaper a little too often. So we bought two of these. They hold up really well and the mattress doesn't even seem to be wet.
