Scratches Easily
Finish scratches super easily especially if putting plates on it. Pretty sturdy if you don’t move it and put it on a small carpet. Also buy a table cloth or you’ll have chips and scratches everywhere.

average table
It's a cheap, functional table. Pretty average. It you're getting it for heavy use to eat all your meals at every day, I don't suspect it will hold on to its finish very well over time. But i got it as a table for the kids to use to play board games on, put together a puzzle, etc... Those kinds of occasional activities. It was missing some of the washers and nuts to assemble it, which was pretty annoying. So I had to find and supply my own, which was a hassle, but it would have been more of a hassle to return it over that. It wasn't difficult to assemble though (once i had all the necessary parts!).

Decent Depending on Need
I bought the table for my office and while it's sturdy and a good size for a couple of people, the espresso finish is MUCH darker than it appears in the picture. It's closer to black. I even checked to be sure I got the right color. Assembly was not difficult, but some of the table base pieces didn't align well. Easy to force it to work, but did create some challenges. Still, a good bargain for the need. No way it would seat 4 comfortably. 2-3 max.

Decent product - get it on sale.
I had a really hard time finding a table that would work in a small space. Came across this table and even though at the time it only had a single half-way decent review, I purchased it. (Figured if I didn't like it, I would drive down the street to the nearest Target and return it.) Turns out, I like it just fine. It was extremely easy to put together - took me all of about 15 minutes. Be careful if you use a drill not to put the screws in too deep though - they will poke through the table top without much effort. I picked up a glass table topper in the hops the table will last a little longer. (It is an under $200 table - what do you expect??) The top is about 35" (not a true 36") and it rounds out at about 34". When you see it, you will know what I am talking about. So I got a 34" round topper and it should work. All in all, I am glad I purchased it.

I would not order again.
Love the table, but the finish on the table is terrible. Of course husband didn't notice until it was in place that a good 4 inch strip on the curve of the table was not painted, as well as several scuff/glue marks on the side of the table. I'm keeping it, as it's too much hassle to return it and of course you've got the $30.00 handling fee. Live and learn.

Great Piece of Furniture
My husband and I moved into our first apartment after our wedding and needed a dining table ASAP. We saw the Salem Pedestal Table on the website and knew it would be the perfect fit for our small dining area. The table came in a few days and it took my husband about two hours to put together (it came with a lot of parts, you will need a drill). The table is sturdy, the wood is fresh and although the espresso looks black, it works for us.
