Expired and slimy.
I just purchased this package of lunch meat on 10-10-25 from my Wolfchase Target store, and upon opening it, noticed it smelled terrible and was slimy. When I checked the package date, it was expired, even though I had just purchased it in store today. This is really unacceptable. There has been multiple times now where I’ve had to return expired food items to this location. The management and staff need to do a better job checking dates and rotating stock so people do not become sick.

Our go to deli meat
So far I haven't had any issues with this brand. Still curious why it's $2 more at Sprouts, but anyway we like it and my kids especially love the maple turkey. I'll admit that I've snagged a couple leftover scraps from their plates (come on, it's the truth!) and it's pretty yum. I use these in sandwiches but also they go great on pizza, tortilla rolls and of course baked into a crescent roll with cheese. Versatile, a little pricier than your typical deli meat, but to me it's been worth it.

I didn’t notice this was expired when I bought it. I ate out of the package twice. I noticed it didn’t taste that good but thought maybe I just didn’t like the brand. Purchased July 3. Expired June 14. This location (Conway) has expired food item way too often! Waste of $6. I usually try check the date because this keeps happening here but sometimes I forget. Please don’t sell expired food items

Come out of package like chip chop ham
Lunchmeat is paper thin now & lunchmeat tear in pieces when trying to take one slice off top of other slices in a completely opened package. One slice of lunchmeat is so thin that when trying to separate one slice for a sandwich, several pieces of bottom layers of lunchmeat tears in pieces & come out of package like chip chop ham.

Healthy turkey
If you care about the ingredients that go into your deli meat than this turkey is definitely top notch. I deducted a star because every time I go to use it you can never get a full slice out of the package without the Turkey tearing which is annoying, but also not a huge deal. It’s a little pricey, but again the ingredients (or lack of) are worth it.

Hgih price item, but quality is worth it!
I've always loved Applegate Naturals, and this flavor of turkey is especially delicious! I really wish they could figure out how to make this more affordable, but honestly I can tell the quality is so much higher than other lunch meats that I don't mind paying a little more for this one from time to time. I'm just hoping they don't raise the price any higher in the future.
