Q: Does the "new improved formula" address the benzene concerns? Most name brands recalled dry shampoos over this issue, but DeMert never did, but have a class action law suit against them :/

This one did make my hair look cleaner, and it had a nice coconut scent, which is perfect for summer. Unfortunately, I still didn't like the way it made my hair feel, but it was definitely better than other brands I have tried. I think it's a good product, and I will continue using it if I am in a pinch, but I would much rather have freshly washed hair.

The thing I love the most about this product is that is does not leave a white residue/film on my scalp. The product works into the hair really nicely when massaged with your fingers/brushed out. I find that this product soaks up oil really well and leaves my hair looking clean and refreshed. The bottle design is great too- it dispenses the product really evenly onto your scalp.

I’ve religiously used the original NYM dry shampoo for years, and was excited to try this one but I’m not the biggest fan. It smells amazing, and the spray is nice but that’s where it ends. It leaves a white cast that is really hard to get rid of, it removes oil but only for about 10 minutes and then your hair looks greasy again, and it also leaves a residue that comes off whenever you touch your hair. It definitely adds some texture and volume so I’ve used it for just that, but as far as removing oil I was very let down.

I have dark hair and I’m able to work this into my hair to the point of no white cast! I also enjoy using it before bed, and then brushing through it in the morning, and it absorbs all the greasiness. I don’t personally love the scent as I prefer unscented products, but it’s pretty undetectable after about 15 minutes, so don’t let that deter you! Great value for your money!

Though I will say it’s way easier to get out compared to other dry shampoos I’ve used. The biggest con for me is the coconut scent. It’s super strong and kind of lingers, which might be too much if you’re sensitive to fragrance.

The thing to keep in mind is that it is a texturizing product so it doesn’t leave grit to your hair. Really product to use on super clean hair when you try to curl it. Remember to really shake the product to avoid leaving a bad white caste.

This dry shampoo does a good job of removing grease and keeping my hair looking clean on no-wash days. The beachy coconutty smell is pleasant and makes me think of summer days. However, I don't feel like it is particularly volumizing. I have straight Asian hair, and a lot of it. I would have expected something more from a dry shampoo that claims to be texturizing. It's about the same as any other dry shampoo I've tried, although your milage may vary.

I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks now and it is awesome! There’s no white residue and it makes my hair smell amazing. It’s very light. You can’t even tell where you put it on.
