Guests are saying
The recent changes to the classic chili recipe have left many guests disappointed, as the spice level has increased significantly, making it less enjoyable for families who loved the original flavor. Despite the shift, some guests still appreciate the chili's robust taste and texture, noting its versatility for various meals. The product remains a go-to for quick meals, but many are hoping for a return to the milder classic recipe that they cherished for years.

I would most definitely buy this product again.
I love the thick hearty taste and texture of the chilli, has excellent combination of flavors and spices. Classic is my favorite so far.

I would buy this product again, I do frequently.
I have no idea what the people in the other reviews are talking about, the classic chili isn't spicy. maybe they mistakenly grabbed another flavor. This one is the perfect temp for my spice intolerant partner

Stagg Classic Chilli is now too spicy to eat.
We have always liked the StGg Classic Chilli however the last 3 cans we have bought have been too spicy to eat. Why would you change the recipe of a delicious Chilli?

TOO SPICY!
We have been eating this product for YEARS and always enjoyed it ... until now! We had a can for lunch today and it was inedible, way too spicy and hot!!! We won't be purchasing this again unless and until you go back to the original recipe.

No
Way to spicey. Label should say Spicey Classic. Loved the original recipe but this is definately the original recipe anymore. Ruined a nice chili brand. If people want to spice it up let them put there own Tabassco or Franks Hot sauce or whatever they choose to it.

Love the spice level on this Chili with Beans!
Cook this on the stove following the instructions and the beans are good, meat is plentiful, spice level is perfect (not too mild) and the spice is the reason I choose this!

I will not buy this product again
Help, I'm writing this right after having a can of my favorite stags chili only to have it burn my mouth so badly due to the heat factor in the chili. I also took an antacid. What happened? This was always my favorite chili and something has changed. It's way too hot! I purposely don't purchase the hotter versions. I'm surprised this recipe was changed and no warning on the label. I will be donating the rest of my cans to a food bank. It's now 30 minutes later and my mouth is still burning.

TOO SPICY 🌶️ 🥵
Like other reviews, we used to love this chili until recently. It is way too spicy now, and we like spicy! It is inedible. I'm going to feel bad donating these to a food bank! Please go back to the old recipe/peppers. Where is the quality control?

To spicy!!!
Why is the "Classic" chili so spicy???? If I wanted spicy I would have bought spicy!!! I don't ever remember this chili being so spicy and now I can't eat it I have to throw the rest of it away. What a waste of money.

Why is it spicy?!
I grew up eating the original. Now it's so spicy I don't like it :( don't want to try any other flavors cause I'm worried they'll be spicy too. Bring back the old recipe!!!

Still way too spicy!
I tried a new can from the grocery store after having 2 cans a few months ago that were too spicy hot to eat. Same with the new can. You guys should really do something about this chili. It is un-edible. Have a recall, change your formula and get back to the way the Classic Chili used to taste. Please!!

English Lessons Required
Perhaps nobody at Stagg understands what the word Classic implies. This isn't the classic chili that I loved, it's all new, too spicy, and inedible - BAD. What happened? I'll inform my grocer. Yuck!!

I miss the old days
They seemed to have changed the recipe over the last year and a half. Now its spicy but not in a good way. Its like theres habanero powder or something. Bring back the old recipe!

Not the original original recipe -too hot
My family loved this chili until about a year or so ago when it suddenly changed to a very spicy chili with no warning and no label change indicating updated recipe. The kids no longer eat this.

Hi Kristi, this would be a quality concern regarding the pepper crop used. Can you please reply to the email we've sent out to you?

Way too spicy!!!
I really thought I must be losing my mind until I read all the other comments. We used to eat STAGG Classic Chili 2-3 times a month and nothing else compared. I have loved this product for over 10 years. For the past ten months, we keep buying it randomly hoping it will go back to the original recipe but I can't buy it anymore. Prices have more than doubled in the past 2-3 years on this in my area and that is too much $ to gamble. It is outrageously spicy. This isn't a different crop of peppers, this is something else. And certainly not a specific run since this has happened on at least 7-8 occasions over the past 10 months and we buy 4-5 cans at a time. Please please fix this and change it back.

NO NO NO
What have you done to our favorite chili??? We have loved it for at least 20 years and now can't eat it. And will never buy it again. It is way too spicy! Why have you changed it?? Clearly, you can see that you have lost tons of customers! Why don't you change it back??

Hi Nana, it looks like you had a similar issue a couple months ago. We sent you an email but never heard back! I will send another one out now.

Ya had to change it, way too spicy
Some folks just want a good bowl of not so spicy chili. What happened to you guys?? You had one of the best chilis around. You buy them out and change what was working. You make other variants, why change this one??? When you come out with "The way we were" chili, I might try it. Stop with the spicey please.
