The life span of these socks isn’t great. They get thin and stop being snug at an impressive rate. I purchase them because I don’t like to have a visual variety in socks when it comes to washing and putting away, but at some point one has to recognize the ridiculousness of paying the price for the short results. I’ll probably find a more durable brand and make the switch than buy these for the [checks calendar] you don’t want to know how often I’ve replaced them in a year.

Worst Socks Ever to be On My Feet
First time wearing these socks and took the dog for a short 3/4 mile walk. With every step I can literally feel them slipping down my leg. I think they're done when they pool uncomfortably around my ankles. But they aren't done yet. They continue to slip down inching their way OFF MY FEET. By the time I got home and took off my shoes, a good four inches of sock is hanging past my toes. Hanes and Champion have been my reliably good socks for years. No longer. These are the absolute worst. These also appear to be much thinner than earlier versions. Hard to tell that in the package that says they are the tea cushioned.

Hugs and accentuates weird parts of your feet for no reason, then leaves a little breathable gate on top by your toes that it wouldn't need if they just made the socks out of breathable cotton instead of slip and slide around in your shoe material. Tight little hoolah hoop experience around your mid-foot for no reason. Socks slip and slide within walking one block, always hugging my pinky toe and wrapping around it like a glove.

Great, but oddly short lifespan.
I love these socks. Great for the hotter climate I’m in. Great for when I hike or for when I’m sitting around at home. However, I’ve purchased a couple packs of these so far and I’ve burned through most of my first pack. I purchased that in July and it is currently March. 8 months lifespan of these socks. I have spent most of my time over the last 5 months working at home, not hiking or going to the gym. So why is it that these socks can’t make it through a full year of use? I’ve had some of my Dickies socks for a few years before getting these and they’re outlasting these ones. I figured with the different material, there’d have a different life expectancy but this seems a bit absurd. I am having a hard time justifying purchasing yet another pack because of the rate that these get destroyed even though I love them. I promise I don’t spend my time walking in glass or on sandpaper, nor do I have claws or rough calluses on my feet that would explain these things getting torn open at the rate they are.

it is difficult to tell in the sales photo but the black socks are not entirely black. They have reinforced heels and the ball of the foot, and those areas are a dark gray. Nothing wrong with the construction of the sock, but if you had wanted a fully black sock these are not it.
