They were barely palatable. When I scooped them out, they were fairly hard and it looked almost gelatinous like I was taking them out of a can. The flavor was very artificial to me. Honestly I think the powdered mashed potatoes that you add water to taste better.

What even are these?
These tasted absolutely nothing like potatoes to us... just vaguely starchy, almost more like pasta? So bizarre. It was well within date, well-stored, and cooked exactly to package directions... I think it's just not a good product. We ate a few bites and couldn't finish our portions and the rest went into the trash. Bobs Evans forever.

I rounded up to 4 stars, I’d actually give them 3.5. I love Bob Evans mashed potatoes and so comparatively these don’t measure up. They are not as creamy and they just don’t have the same taste and texture. That said, I still buy them occasionally and just add extra cream, butter, sour cream and salt to make them taste better.
