I thought I was the only one that thought it smelled very strange so I threw it out. And I’ve made wild rice before it did not smell like it was supposed to hear. I would not recommend this.

added spices & chicken for a complete meal
I had a similar rice @Bibibop & wanted to try this rice. I had marinated chicken & frozen black eyed peas in my freezer. I added some coconut oil, olive oil to a pressure cooker, added red chillies, cloves, cinnamom, whole cumin seeds, browned the chicken first, then added the black eyed peas, lastly the rice & a huge tablespoon of frozen coconut milk cube & cooked it for a minutes. I guessed the amount of water needed which was a little much but let the water evaporate & it turned out delicious.

Almost Too Good to Be True
Tastes and smells fabulous. Never had a pretty instant rice, much less wild rice be so delicious and easy to prepare. As an elder in her 80s working to resume self care after lengthy bedrest for heart and lung diseases, this high protein lightening fast convenience that’s like gourmet food on top of it and reasonably priced is almost too good to be true.

I got this at the suggestion of FlavCity/Bobby Approved. I must say- between this and black lentils, I’m getting the right amount of tasty fiber and protein in my life. I do not microwave it- I either sauté it or I add it to a canned beans with seasonings and it’s tastes amazing. Idk what people are saying- either they’re used to processed food and crap but quality foods like this are hard to come by. Highly recommend if you’re into clean eating and healthy carbs!

Easy and tasty wild rice
I think some of the reviewers have never had wild rice before? It tastes much different than regular rice as it’s technically not actual rice. I used this in a soup and it was delicious.

Not for me...
I don’t usually use these instant rice packets but I have had some before and this tasted absolutely awful. I added some seasoning to it after trying it and it still tasted so bad. I ended up dumping the whole thing. Probably my personal taste but I wouldn’t buy it again.

low sodium salad with chicken and pineapple
I love this rice and the fact that it is not salty. I often cook it and then use it for a cold salad with cut up chicken, pineapple bits, green onion. etc. I would love to get the one with lentils also but it has too much salt for me. This is the only fast wild rice I can find that doesn't have other types of rice mixed in. It's a bit expensive but perfect for singles - no waste or leftovers to deal with.

Awful Wild Rice Option
This item is awful!!! I saw the mixed reviews and I was 50/50 prior to purchase. I wish I hadn’t purchased it. It’s has a pungent odor as soon as you open the bag. I thought the smell would dissipate after heating and it unfortunately intensified the smell. I attempted one bite and could not eat it. I discarded this. There is no amount of doctoring this up for taste for a decent meal. It’s minimal ingredients, little to no sodium or sugar so not sure why this was such an awful item.
