Q: Am unfamiliar with the packaging. Was disheartened to discover there was 0 inner seal/any external safety wrap; the lid just screws right off to reveal the product. Is this normal? Most "beauty" items have some sort of tamper protection.

American Crew Fiber has been my go-to every time I’m out. The hold is strong but flexible, and the low shine gives a clean, natural look without feeling greasy. The texture is easy to work with, but tricky for my curly hair—it defines without weighing it down. The scent is subtle and clean, and best of all, it’s never damaged my hair. If anything my hair feels better since I started using it.

For OVER 20 years. American Crew Fiber the ONLY styling product that I would allow to touch my hair. And I was a free spokesman, always talking up the product. Yes through out those 20 years I would sample other products to ensure if all else fails I would have a backup. Yet I never found a runner up or anything other product that even came close to AC fiber. Then American Crew was acquired by Revlon with in a few years they secretly changed the formula. That said when I say DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY. It’s so infuriating that REVLON destroyed the best fiber out there.

As a barber I recommend all crew products especially their fiber paste. It smells delicious and holds all day even tho it doesn’t look stiff. It’s also very easy to wash out

This changed. I’ve used this for years and it gave a nice dry hold and now my hair is greasy and flat all day. I didn’t realize when they listed it online as old formula they were serious. This new stuff I just picked up is garbage.

The smell of it is horribel, it smells like baby wipes with citrus smell. It has an consisty of face cream. -100000000000000000000000/10 DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!! Bye special 1 if u love ur hair or if u like this dont use ur money just use some bacon grease

I’ve been using this product for 14 years. The formula has changed. It used to have a pliable waxy base, and now is more creamy, resulting in an oily look. Old reliable is no longer reliable. I’ll be purchasing a different product for regular use now.

This product is my go to. I have used this for years and have always been happy. It’s easy mold ability and texturing ability holds all day and allows you reshape through the day. Get caught in the wind and mess your hair up? Pop into the bathroom, get your hand a little wet and rub through your hair and it retakes shape easily. Also, super easy to wash out and has a nice, very subtle scent. Seriously, my favorite product for my hair.

I have never used this product but I have heard great things about the brand of products. This was horrible! The product says high hold low shine but I totally disagree. It is more like high shine and medium hold at best but that is pushing it. I have tried wet hair, dry hair, and blow drying it but it always leaves a grease look even after I have just washed my hair.

Now it is softer and I can no longer style my hair properly with it. This new 'wetter' formula leaves your hair clumped and damp looking. What have you done American Crew? This hair styling cream is awful. First thing you notice when you open it up is how nasty it smells!!! I can't believe anyone would want to use this and smell like that all day! Also, it says high hold, that is false. It starts loosing hold within the hour, and it is not a strong hold whatsoever.

I have been buying FIBER since my hair was not so salt and pepper. The formula has definitely been changed to a soft buttery texture and it doesn’t have the hold. Time to move on, which is disappointing.

Loved the old recipe where it made my thinning hair look full and didn't give a shine. The new recipe makes it look like i used gel and shows my hair is thinning and also gives it shine. The only pro side of the new recipe is that it's easier to wash off your hands after using.
