Q: Why the mint? Just wondering if there's a reason behind it!

submitted by Mac - 4 years ago
  • A: Hi there! Our herbal pads are infused with essential oils(including mint), which creates a gentle, "cooling" sensation that makes for a more peaceful period and supports a more comfortable period and ensures ongoing protection. We hope this helps!

  • A: the essential oils infused in these pads are derived from herbs. herbs have natural healing and ph balancing properties, mint included. i hope this further helps.

submitted byD - 4 years ago
  • A: It's not a "gentle cooling sensation", it hurts and gives you a rash. There are so many reviews saying this, I'm appalled this is still being sold like it's not torturing women.

submitted byAna - 3 years ago

Q: does size matter and people are saying it gives rashes is that just for certain people are what i have heard of this and just want to make sure that if you have to select size i get the right size.

submitted by Kylee - 3 years ago
  • A: Our pads range from 7"-13" inches in length and are specially designed to offer maximum security and coverage during the day and night. We have liners for those super light days and pads for the heaviest of flows. Many of our customers love the cooling sensation that our Herbal Pads provide. If you find that you are someone who tends to have more sensitive skin when trying new products, we recommend that you use our Non-Herbal Pads. Our Non-Herbal Pads do not contain herbs and do not provide the cooling sensation.

Q: why does it say only the “top layer” is organic?

submitted by x - 2 years ago
  • A: The construction of our pads consists of many layers. The top layer of our pads is made with 100% Organic Cotton. This means that the part of the pad that touches the vulva is 100% Organic Cotton is OCS certified.

BACK AWAY FROM THE ADD-TO-CART BUTTON!

BACK AWAY FROM THE ADD-TO-CART BUTTON! - unless you want a burning sensation in your hoo-ha. (2 stars only b/c I know that they're absorbent, and that strong mint will definitely cover up some odors) I previously used the *Calming* Herbal Infusion in the super size and wanted the regular size. It's my mistake that I missed the "Cooling" title of this one. Once I realized my mistake, figured it couldn't be that bad. I've used some essential oils on my pads before, specifically tea tree, which is a cooling oil. So I decided to use them anyway. The mint in these pads is quite strong! I figured I needed a bit of time to get used to the "cooling". But it was as if I rubbed peppermint oil right on my parts, and the longer I waited, the more intense it got! I think I lasted 30 minutes before I had to rip it off. The rest of these are going in the trash. Get the Calming Herbal Infusion version - they're very good and even seem to calm my menstrual symptoms.

Amazing Cramp Stoppers

genuinely these pads and the other scents or oils they have put on them genuinely helped with my period cramps. Yeah some people may feel a wee bit sensitive to this one but I dont think it burns. It makes me feel fresh and comfortable even after awhile the fresh icy feeling people get goes away. I genuinely hope these pads never leave the shelves as I will continue to buy!

Burns.

I bought this item today from my local grocery store and it at first was a little cooling and fine but after a couple minutes it started to burn really bad. Before anyone asks about my anatomy, I don't have the anatomy that would have much sensitive skin against the pad. I'm glad it works for others its just not the thing for me.

Best pads out there!!

These are the only pads I use. I have a super heavy flow and have never leaked with them. For the burning reviews w/ one star they must have sensitivities. For myself I love the essential oils, and they are a refreshing distraction from period pain and discomfort. My recommendations: try a diluted solution of eucalyptus or tea tree on yourself to see if you'll be sensitive! Some ppl have allergies to the essential oils they use and that will def be uncomfy.

These must be some kind of sick joke. If you want the sensation of icy hot where no one wants the sensation of icy hot give these a go.

BAD! Firey Hot Sauce on a Pad! (other pads great)

I really liked other Honey Pot products - the regular organic pad was excellent. I saw a few reviews about burning and figured maybe people were extra sensitive. I like lavender and use essential oils in my air purifier, etc. So I gave the lavender pads a try. Bad, Bad, Bad Idea! I'll give you the run down of the 5 minutes after putting on one of these pads - I ran out of my standard regular (non scented) organic Honey Pot pads and had one of these in my purse. Quickly changed pads before heading out. Popped in the car and drove off. Within 2 minutes it was like someone poured hot sauce on my nether regions. Seriously, this was not a mild tingle or a modest warm sensation but was fire burning. I had one hand on the steering wheel and the other trying (vainly but unsuccessfully) to pull the pad away from my skin. I am a modest person (as in I don't wear bikinis, don't like skimpy stuff) but I was close to pulling off to the side of the road and strip down to pull off this burning pad! Thank God I had a short drive or I might've had an indecent exposure charge. As it was, as soon as I reached my destination, I left my purse in the car, RAN to the door, RAN to the bathroom and yanked this pad off as fast as I could. After a water rinse, I was STILL burning. Next stop to the internet to post this review. I have no idea how any company could sell a product that gives such an extreme negative reaction. "Cooling"?! Hardly. Again, this wasn't a mild irritant but an intense, extreme "you have got to be kidding me!" experience. I hope that this review spares someone else from making the same mistake I did.

great cooling effect

I have been using honey pot herbal pad for 2 years. I really love the cooling feeling it brings. Also, it is 100% cotton instead of plastics.

Love Love Love This!!!!!

I tried this out because a friend of mines was telling me she had bad cramps.. and let me just say I have been using them ever since! I don’t know why everybody keeps saying it burns.. it actually feels good and it’s a cooling sensation not a burning hot sensation… I wear them the first few days when I’m heavy especially overnight to help with cramps and discomfort! Highly recommended!
Go buy it!!!

Why?? Just why?

Why would anyone think it’s appropriate to put burning essential oil on a pad? I’m mad because I have to wear them and I don’t have time to go get something else I’m at work snd grabbed them during lunch break. I can’t believe my private parts feel this way. Did a man design these? No woman with nerve endings in her labia would ever approve these.

Yeah no… These are not it

I know it’s supposed to give a “cooling sensation but this “cooling” sensation was more like a burn for me. I put out in for 2 minutes and it feels like a just sat on a stove. I immediately took it off and tried to wipe make clean but the burning lingered for 30 minutes. Heck no. Run from these. Original Organic Cotton is the way to go.

Dont buy the cooling version

My loins are MINTY and not in a good way. I appreciate that they say this helps with period discomfort but my pain is my my uterus not my labia. Every part of my that the pad is touching is on minty fire

Ungodly Terrible Experience

The most awful product I have ever tried. If less than 1 star was offered I would give these highly negative number. I wouldn't recommend my worse enemy try these. You should be ashamed.

Burns your private area

I just bought these and the cooling infusion is menthol and burns your private area. I removed immediately and tried to use wet wipes to stop the burning
