A little too tomato flavored and liquidy, but otherwise a nice quick meal
I thought the flavor tasted a little tomato-y. Chana masala does usually have tomatoes but I typically wouldn't say they are the main flavor. The chickpeas are very soft and the flavor is quite rich. I would personally prefer a bit more spice flavor and less tomato flavor, and maybe for it to be less liquidy. Otherwise, it's a good quick meal, great for "emergencies" when you just don't have time or energy to cook.

Had high hopes but bland flavor and the chick peas were a weird deep tan color. I tried to adjust it with more tumeric and salt, but it had a weird, bland and bitter flavor. Not what I was expecting at all and wouldn’t buy again. The Maya Kaimal brand is much better for these types of prepared beans and lentils. This was a miss unless you like bland, beige mysterious food.

Don't buy if you used to fast foods and processed foods!
If you are used to eating processed or fast food then this product is not for you. It would not be to your taste palette. Too many overweight people who claim to be vegetarians. Vegetarian foods are very low calorie. Add some cumin, fresh parsley, fresh cilantro or any other spice that you may like. If you don't like the flavor in one eye and enhance it. If you know how to cook that is. Other than that stick to mcdonald's, Burger king, checkers, and taco bell.

Bring back the jarred chana masala!!
The jarred Chana masala was awesome, the reviews confirmed such, and now it’s no where to be found. This plastic pouch version seems to have replaced the jarred sauce but contains cow puss so I will not be purchasing.
