The glass doesn't fit seamlessly into the wood, and the wood has some visible imperfections. Unfortunately, since I've discarded the box, returning it isn't an option. Looks like I'll be holding onto it.

Looks nice but the lid does not fit tightly and fruit flies go right under it to get to my bread and baked goods. I got this to keep my sourdough bread fresh, but it’s not going to work for that.

Once you bake bread, a cake or otherwise, you need a means to preserve and display your work. Libbey has nailed this need for any creation that fits within an envelope of L/Ø 9 x H 5 inch. Simple is sublime. Glass dome cleans easily and imparts no fumes. Wood base serves as cutting board. Grooved top surface keeps glass dome in place when moving. Side recesses for fingers to lift off flat counter both subtle and convenient. Well packaged for transit.

The bottom is wooden but the wood is lightweight and also thick like the glass .perfect size to save bread ,cookies,cake and and also snacks.i highly recommend it.i do try to keep it away from my small nephews because of the weight and they can break it.its easy to clean and it keeps my bread fresh.very satisfied with this glass dome.

The smooth, flat, round, wooden base has a beautiful wood grain and deep groove which securely holds the lid in place. The glass domed lid is sturdy with a good weight, and smoothly finished edges which protect the items beneath while giving a clear view of them. The ball shaped handle on top is easy to grip and adds a decorative touch. I like to keep this on my countertop year round and use it for more than just cakes. I also use it for pies, cookies, cupcakes, muffins, waffles, rolls, donuts, fruit and more. I love providing special treats for my family, and they deserve a special display like this. It also makes a perfect presentation for cakes birthdays and other parties.

The dome is tall enough that I can use it with a 3 layered cake. Its also easy to clean. The dome also helps keep things fresh by keeping air out and drying out what I use it for.

The acacia wood is high quality and beautifully crafted and carved for the glass to go on top perfectly. It can be used for so many things (not just cake or cupcakes). I use it for cookies, fruits, homemade snacks and cheese (as a cheese platter) when I get guests. I really like how it has a cover to protect the food inside and keep the flies and insects away and how light it is. Currently, I have this in the center of my kitchen table and it looks very nice. Also, it's very easy to clean both the glass and the wood.
