Q: I know the description says the glass dome is 8.25" tall, but this probably includes the glass ball handle at the top. What is the height of the dome in terms of what it can hold inside?

Mediocre Quality
The height is perfect. However, the glass lid is very thin and feels very fragile. The color of the pedestal base is so light in comparison to the rest of the piece and makes it not as attractive. It was not damaged so I didn’t feel like I needed to return it. However, I really wish I would have exchanged it.

Beautiful and Solid
I ordered this in a hurry after breaking my cake server. I love the look of acacia wood and found this one. This isn't flimsy but a solid base and the dome isn't thin. Perfect for any design, not just rustic.

The cake stand I ordered arrived in bad shape and bad craftsmanship.😦 I called & filled a complaint along with sending them pictures of the item. They quickly apologized and sent me a new one. Warped base
This is a beautiful stand; however, my wooden base was visibly warped, so the lid did not fit properly and did not create a seal. Will have to return.

More Than Expected!
I have been looking for a cake stand with a dome tall enough to hold a tall layer cake. This fits that bill beautifully. The glass dome is heavy enough to be sturdy, yet light enough to be easy to carry. The wood base is - in a word - gorgeous!

I love this cake stand. It’s gorgeous. It looks very elegant with cakes or pastries inside of the glass dome. I would definitely recommend this cake stand to anyone.
