54" Sunshine Wool Kids' Rug Round - Pillowfort™

I wanted to love this rug - 100% wool, no plastic, cute design and thick, perfect for a kid's room. But it just sheds way too much and wasn't worth it, even on sale.

This rug looks just like pictured! The colors are bright and the image is crisp. I read other reviews first and knew to expect shedding. After a month or so of use the shedding has turned very minimal and as others have said, some good vacuuming up front takes the brunt off. Even after all the shedding, it still looks and feels just as full. This is a thick rug, great for the hardwood floor in my house. Perfect comfy spot to play!

Why is it specified 54” and only measuring 52”? It also stinks. Not an issue I usually have with wool.

of course it sheds — it’s wool. i would much rather have my kids playing on natural fibers and not synthetic! we LOVE this rug! it’s soft, and adds a touch of extra happiness to my boys room. ever since getting it they have been gravitating to it and playing on it instead of their normal rug underneath. 10/10

I love the size and the rug is so cute but the shedding is awful. If it wasn't too late I'd return it.

Shedding Never Stops. Whoever designed this as a kids' rug should be ashamed of themselves. This rug will ruin your vacuum, clothes, floors, and your sanity. Do not, I repeat, do not buy this unless you enjoy misery. It's too big to return, too. I hope this review saves someone else the hassle and loss of money.

Rug was a good size, but it looked used and dirty. The rug came in with a bunch of small dark stains and dirty rim.

I've vacummened this rug a thousand times but it just continues to shed. I was so disappointed as I really like this rug. Wish I could replace it with one that doesn't shed. :(

This is a super cute rug, but shed at first pretty bad and picks up lint and dog hair like crazy! Needs a vacuum and lint brush often. Other than that very plush and bright.

It's so cute, and my son loves it. My main issue is that it sheds like mad. I've vacuumed it multiple times and it simply has not stopped. Hopefully it will eventually stop shedding so much since he doesn't want to return it. If he didn't love it so much, I would probably return it. I also give it four stars for using 100% wool. If this was microplastic just shedding everywhere constantly, I would return it regardless of how much my kiddo liked it truthfully.

This rug is thick and so cute for any child’s space. My only complaint is that it sheds so much and now that I’ve had it for awhile the shedding is everywhere on the floor.

Cute, perfect for a kids room. It is super thick and soft easy to vacuum. I do wish it was a bit bigger but that’s my only complaint. But it’s perfect for kids rooms, play rooms, wherever you can fit it.

I am absolutely in love with this 54 inch Sunshine Wool Round Area Rug by Pillowfort! It is super soft and really thick! The pattern just brightens up the room! The quality is amazing! I highly recommend this rug!

When I first unrolled this Sunshine area rug in my son’s room he was so excited! The pattern and colors are simple, but really bring a happy vibe. He has complained about how boring the carpet is in his room no this definitely livened it up. The area rug has a dense, plush consistency and feels really nice under your feet. It has a decent thickness and backing, and even though it was stored and shipped rolled up it immediately laid flat. The size is also very versatile, small enough to not overwhelm small spaces, but big enough to fit in a larger area as well. The only complain I have about this rug is that it sheds, however it isn’t a crazy amount of shedding, and some shedding is to be expected with any new rug. It’s easy enough to vacuum up the shed bits, and because the rug itself is heavy enough I have no issues vacuuming the entire rug, including the edges. It’s a well that has really brightened up my son’s room.

This rug is cute! My DS loved it when we put this in his room. The Sun art makes it look so pretty. This is unlike most rugs we have at home. Its thick, made of wool and the base of this is all natural fabric. We use this on the existing carpet and hence cannot say on whether the rug slips on a hardwood floor or tiles. Overall we love this rug. The color is bright yellow and stands out. This is a perfect rug for kids room. Note: Before you start using, please vacuum it! Our vacuum was filled with the yellow fibers from the carpet. Fine fibers will stick to your clothes and hair if not vacuumed. Don't be afraid, it's just the small fibers of wool that is loose that is been succeed out and not the whole carpet wool.

I wasn't totally sure what this rug was going to look like, but I like suns and I thought it would work really well in my daughters room. So, it came, we pulled it out of the packing (ace job there) and took it upstairs to put in her room (on top of her already carpeted floor) and dang! it looks dope. It's a great size, it's soft, and it's sharp in color. This simple rug adds so much to her room, it's almost as if it's been recreated, so cool. I can see how someone would imagine this rug is fit for an infants room, but my daughter is 8 and she loves it, so push those thoughts to the back your mind... go with your gut on this one... It's a great rug!

Cute, bright and super thick rug! If you are looking online the yellow color online does look at little brighter than the actual rug does in person but it is still super cute. Great for a kids bedroom. Does need rug tape if using on wood floors.

Our kids love this rug. It currently serves as a Lego island. It’s so plush, dense, and soft. The neutral design works in every one of our kids rooms and the playroom. Will need to vacuum before use, lots of little fibers.
