Curlsmith Essential Moisture Cleanser gently cleanses the hair, helping remove dirt and product build-up but leaving your hair feeling nourished at the same time.

Its foaming action gently cleanses without stripping the hair of moisture. It increases hydration by 87% and instantly helps to reduce frizz*. It's suitable for frequent washes and is also safe for colored hair. Use our essential moisture cleanser in conjunction with Curlsmith curl quenching conditioning wash to ensure the scalp is cleansed without stripping your natural oils. *When used EM cleanser & conditioner together (Based on third party testing vs. a non-conditioning shampoo & conditioner)

WHAT MAKES CURLSMITH DIFFERENT:

    Not For Fine Hair

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had high hopes for this product. I have yet to use a product I have not enjoyed from Curlsmith, until now. It did not lather almost at all firstly. Then once dry there was a film on my hair as if there were product build up. I ended up looking worse. My hair was very stringy and at the top I had gone flat. Not to mention My scalp looked greasy, and this was after I had just washed it. You know when you go to rub your scalp and you bring your fingers to your nose and can smell the last two days of build up? That was my experience on day 1 hair wash day. I'll not be re-purchasing. I also did not use any new products. This was in conjunction with all my normal Curlsmith products. I wont say this is a bad product, it just does not work for my hair type.

    There are better options out there

    It takes a lot of product to get a good lather to cover my scalp. I didn't feel like I could really clean my scalp or even the midsection of my hair. The next day, my scalp was oily and flaky. I like curlsmith, but this product felt ineffective

    Super Drying

    extremely drying and does not lather at all. my hair feels soooo brittle after using it. left my scalp dry and flaky, and caused horrible itchiness right after my showers:( might not be the best choice for winter months. wouldn't recommend for moisture at all but maybe a clarifying shampoo?

    Give and Take

    This product has a few pros and cons. It smells really good and moisturizes my curls/waves nicely. It also leaves it very soft. On the other hand, it can be left oily and doesnt lather well so it doesnt feel like my hair is getting clean unless i keep adding more.

Maybe I need to use a co wash? I’m not sure. But I feel I have to use a lot every wash. The smell is great and when I do get a good lather it leaves my hair feeling very soft and hydrated.

    This shampoo is great. It does what it says. I have 2C curls and some of the no poo products are too rich whereas this leaves my hair feeling clean, soft and my frizz is a lot more under control. I still use the conditioner and a styling cream. This is a great part of my routine.

Hair feels soft and manageable and scalp seems happy. I also alternate with the co-wash which really helps. Hair seems shiny and moisturised but when using so many products it can be hard to tell which is doing what at times.
