A: Hi Julie, The shampoo and conditioner bases were formulated to be hard working all on their own, they address the needs for each specific hair type, so you can use them on their own or you can add 1, 2, or 3 #hairgoal booster shots depending on how many hair goals you may have. We have A LOT of hair goals, so that's why we recommend 3, but you do you :)

Beware, cause hairloss!
This made my hair fall out right after the first use. Tried it again and my hair fell out again, it was a noticeable amount. I am so upset bc I am trying to grow back my hair fall out from postpartum and this just made things worse. I did add 3 of their add-in vials, spent a lot of money and couldn’t return since I had tossed the empty vials. I trashed the product. Never Again.

Caused Breakouts, but Worked Well on Hair
Unfortunately this caused breakouts on my face and back/shoulders so I can’t continue to use it. I never have acne on my back so that was new. My face is very acne-prone and despite my best efforts to keep this product from getting on my face (careful in the shower, wash my hands after conditioning, hair up in a towel or clip after shower while doing skincare, changing my pillow case every couple days) it is still giving me pimples along my hair line. Lots of comedogenic ingredients. I gave three stars bc it did work pretty well on my hair as far as softness and moisture goes, but I didn’t find that it helped with frizz much. I have barely-wavy hair, normal to thin strands but there is a lot of it.

Perfect for wavy 2b hair
This conditioner is so hydrating but doesn’t make my hair greasy. For reference, I usually wash my hair every other day or two days. My scalp is dry as well. As a wavy hair girl, i saw no dramatic difference in my hair after a week of using. My waves didn’t look better, but didn’t look worse. I added the frizz thing to this and it did help, but i think it caused my hair to be so anti frizz that is just looked flat to my head lol gifted by functionofbeauty

This was gifted by Function of beauty. The smell is super good, the formula is very rich. The conditioner smoothed out my split ends. I like how thick the formula is. They also included pumps for the shampoo and conditioner.
