I am not sure why this kit has so many reviews. As pretty as the gold color is, that's the only purpose this kit serves: aesthetic only. I have used the trimmer a few different times on a few different candles. It hardly trims the wick. I have to apply force to get it to cut. When, the trimmer finally is able to cut after trimming for a few minutes, the candle wick is damaged and has been pulled through the candle wax. I would not recommend if you want to actually use the trimmer. Perfectly fine to use as a prop otherwise.

Not a good product
This is boxed do that it is open and anyone can touch it, remove it etc. Kine was actually already purchased and was returned. The products were all cut out of it and taped back into the top of the box. I did store pick up and returned it back into the store as soon as I looked at it. This should have never been re-sold in this condition and to top it off at full price.

Does the job!
Everything in this trio hokder set works well! I just wish the handle for the candle snuffer was longer. Also, I wish there was a matching or coordinated container as a holder for all items. Aside that, it does the job and looks good too!

Wont cut
I planned to actually use these, not as decor like some have based their reviews on. I was already skeptical about this item once I saw the gap on the trimmers , I checked 5 boxes & settled for mine, I was very pleased as it cut the first two wicks , I’ve just tried to do more & it just pushes the wax, no cutting. I will be returning. The snuffer I will test out tonight but I figure it’s hard to get that wrong….i hope Also if anyone is thinking I need to clean them off to work, I used my craft scissors to finish multiple wicks , no issues

Ruins wicks
The scissors are pretty useless - the blades are so thick they can’t really cut anything. It ends up just kind of crushing the wick and making a mess. Also very uncomfortable to hold. The snuffer works fine but you can find them in better kits or alone.

Well-made, cute, and long-lasting
NOTE: writing this review after I’ve had and used for one year. I love this set. I use it at least once a week and besides the ends getting dirty (of course), they look and function brand-new. The trimmer cuts right through and all three are well-crafted. I don’t agree with a couple of the people here saying they look cheap… they have some weight to them and the gold coating doesn’t chip either, so I think they look great. And affordable too!

Pretty gold candle tools, I like that it comes with a hook for moving the wick. The sniffer does its job. One star off because the trimmer is dull and doesn’t cut through the wick well. Don’t regret buying but probably wouldn’t recommend.
