Fantastic Playard
After doing research about different options for playards, we landed on this one. It is extremely easy to set up and move around the house as needed. We also love that it zips down on the side so it’s flexible to use. The quality and price are great, and it’s more affordable than other options that are so similar. Definitely recommend!

14 months in, regretting this one
I bought this before the birth of my first child because I'd read online that babies don't like Pack & Plays because they can shift around, and that the very best travel crib is the Guava Lotus. I was not about to spend $300 on a Guava Lotus, but I thought this crib would be a decent alternative. It's a nice quality product, as with almost every Chicco product I've used (and it's been many), but I REALLY wish it folded down much smaller. I recently took my child on a weeklong trip by air and decided to borrow Pack & Plays at my destination instead of flying with the Alfa Lite because I was worried its large awkward carry size would make it difficult to manage and susceptible to damage by baggage handlers. Well my kid slept beautifully in the Pack & Plays, and I realized that they fold down to a shockingly portable form. So I feel like this crib was a huge mistake, when I could have either saved a bunch of money with a basic Pack & Play or enjoyed one of the ones with all the extra features like the bassinet and changer. Oh well. The one (1) huge upside to this crib was that we used it every single night during the 4-month sleep regression (I think it started at 4 months and continued for 2 months??) when one of us needed to sleep on a camp pad beside the unzipped opening so we could be there to soothe our child back to sleep. Although honestly a sidecar crib or bedside bassinet would have been a lot nicer for that time period too. So anyways... I will be trying to resell it for a fraction of what I spent.

Great as a travel crib
We ended up buying two of these, one for travel and one for my parents’ place. They work great as travel cribs, though we did get a thin mattress for each for the bottom bc the one it came with is a bit hard for sleeping.

pass on this
It is definitely lightweight, easy to travel with and quick to set up. However as a portable crib, it leaves a lot to be desired. The mattress is awful and uncomfortable for our baby. I regret choosing this one because it's not compatible with other companies that sell better infant play yard mattresses. It is a safe sleep space but it certainly doesn't help our little one to sleep well. We were able to borrow a Graco pack n play from a friend and our baby fell asleep much more quickly. I love our other Chicco products but this one isn't it.

Travel Playard
It’s great looking, sturdy and super functional for travel and play! Some critiques when using as a sleep space: I wish the pad was thicker; it’s pretty thin and mounted on top of a stiff board that sits on the floor. I understand the regulations to prevent suffocation, but seems like there could be a happy medium. Also, I’m short and have trouble reaching over the top rim to lower baby in and out smoothly, so although I’m thankful for the zippered side access, it’s still physically awkward getting him in and out while on my knees and ducking my head under the top bar. But, these issues should dissipate once he’s a bit older and can sit up and lay down by himself!

Great for short parents
My daughter wakes easy during transfer and I’m short so dropping her in the crib was waking her every time. We finally bought this for our sanity and my daughter has slept here from 6-11 months and will probably continue until she learns to knock it over. The only annoying thing is when you wash the mattress it’s so hard to get the two big plastic parts that make the base to fit back in the bag. Still 5 stars from me because it’s not the end of the world, just a bit annoying.

Does not dissapoint!
I was debating between this one and the guava for a while. The Guava is great if you travel by plane, but for our use case, we think this is the better choice. We have a Graco playyard in the house to be able to set kiddo down for a min, but it is awful to unpack. This was literally 3 steps to get into shape. It takes up more space folded, but it is flat and under 13 lbs light. Perfect for beach trips/car trips to be able to set up quickly at destination and have kiddo have a familiar space to take his naps. This is the one I'll be recommending to new moms.

Yes buy it!!!
After two children I bought this for my third and I will never use another pack and play. It is so easy to take a part and wash everything. It’s very easy to put up and take down. This is not meant for a baby to sleep in every night but if you do not have a choice a mini crib mattress does fit inside of it with not problems as we has to do this on vacations.

It is great to hear that you love the playard however, we do not recommend using an alternative or other style mattress with the playard.

Alfa Lite Travel Playard
Excellent design and quality. However, the bottom panel is very hard (although lightly padded) and not appropriate for sleeping.

Horrible Chicco Customer Service!!
Mattress pad is super thin and stains easily since it is white. It does not feel very sturdy and the only thing that distinguishes it from other playpens is the part that zips down. Not worth the extra money. Was also missing the travel bag and when speaking to Chicco representatives, they sent it to the wrong address and didn't even bother calling to let me know. Their customer service agents sound bored and like they could care less about their mistake and correcting it. Will never order from them again and will be sure to let my following know about their incompetence.

Actually PERFECT
My wife and I are actually speechless- we travel frequently and have used this for a couple months now! Our daughter is almost 5 months now and this packable travel play yard is perfect for her sleeping and playing at night. It’s extremely easy to set up and take down (like literally 1 minute or less) and it’s very safe. The materials are all very nice and sturdy and they will last us a long, long time I know. Definitely recommend. My sister has a play yard from another company and it pales in comparison to this one. Win for us ;)

Multifunctional Space for Baby
We took this to my parents’ house for Thanksgiving to provide a safe place to lay baby down, away from all the family dogs. The playard is very lightweight and folds up relatively easily (we did have to peek back at the instructions). The included mattress has good padding to it and is a little more conducive to naps versus the mattress inserts that come in the Graco Pack n’ Play (I ended up having to buy a separate mattress for that playard to use for sleep.) I also like the zippered opening feature, something the Pack n’ Play does not offer... My toddler has enjoyed going in and out of the space on her own!

So Amazing!!!
Our little girl isn’t here yet, but we set this up and it looks amazingly built and is so easy to tear down and get ready to transport. We can’t wait to take this from one set of grandparents to the next. It’s so easy to move around we don’t have to worry about our grandparents not being able to move it if they need to. Can’t wait to truly use this!

Perfect for Grandma visits!!
Received our Alfa Lite Travel Playard, what a simple and easy setup right from the box! The design is such that it can go anywhere and I love that everything can zip off and be washed. Keeping things clean for baby is tops on these grandparents list, we truly appreciate the fact that Chicco incorporated the zip off design!

Absolutely a must have
This travel playard is perfect. The design is sleek and the safely measures are advanced. The side opening zipper is buckled to the leg so no little hands can magically unzip themselves. The mattress pad also gets buckled in place. It took seconds to set up and take down. The travel playard makes your life so much easier while traveling and doesn’t take up much of any space in the car. 100/10 recommend buying!!!
