Bad fats flavor?
I purchased this approximately a month ago. Used twice. Cookies have a weird taste to them like the fats have gone bad. I thought it was my own margarine with the first batch, so I used actual butter, unopened and fresh, for the second batch. Unidentified flavor still present. Also, the texture is inconsistent. The cookies are crunchy, tend to spread (even after firming dough for 10 minutes in freezer before baking), and have little color even though I followed directions. Wanted a cookie that was golden brown and chewy. Not crunchy.

These are crazy good!
I have read several reviews where people said the taste and consistency were off. I am thinking, are we talking about the same cookies?! These are absolutely delicious. They are super easy to make. I have always followed the 4 cookie directions and the cookies come out crispy on the outside and soft inside. They basically crunch and melt. They taste like they are made from scratch, not a packaged mix. For the record, I have purchased these cookies three times. I have also purchased the Batchable brownies and muffins many times. Every time I bake any of them, they turn out perfect. Thank you Betty Crocker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just add water was weird to me but it actually worked, my kids loved it and it tasted great. The only complaint I have was that it felt runny a little maybe i added too much water to the batch but it spread very thin when baked. Again, it was some great tasting cookies though.

Definitely NOT worth the money. I've tasted better packaged cookies and I hate packaged cookies. The texture was odd as well. Great concept - not good follow thru. Don't waste your time or money.

Didn't make but seems ridiculous
I have never seen a recipe from a mix or scratch that says add water to cookies? And by all the other reviews they seem to taste terrible it seems like a lot of money just to get a tub with a mix so you can't make your own pre-made mix out of a box in your own bowl you still going to have to cook them on a tray I don't think you cook them in this plastic tub. People will fall for anything. I make oatmeal cookies from scratch with the recipe from the oatmeal box they are delicious you get a lot of them and very very cheap. Not that hard
