It's a very study shelf that does its job well. My only suggestion is that the instructions have you put the back piece on after you combine the two halves together, making it very difficult to do by yourself. Since I bought to two of them, on the second that I built, I added the backs before combining the final two pieces which made the building process much smoother.

When putting this together you lay it on it's face to put nails in the back. Due to the fact that the bottom sticks out it does not lay flat. When I leaned slightly on the back to place the backing it popped apart in the middle where the two pieces were put together making it a bit unstable. Also the way the backing is designed anything that pushes back on them pushes them away from the back of the shelves and if thin it falls behind the unit. Also I asked the company if I could purchase one more shelf with the holding pins. I was told that the unit was not designed to handle more shelves or weight and they refused to sell it to me. Once I own a piece of furniture it I modify it then it could void a warranty but be my responsibility. I did not like that non customer service.

Purchased product and loved it, so tried to order another one. It took several months before the same color bookcase was available. While I have never had a problem with Sauder products, one of the shelves' front molding became unglued. Other than that, the shelves look great.
Bookcases (Salted Oak) matched other decor very well.

We're opening a Christian Bookstore, and using 18 Sauder bookcases. ALL small parts were included, most holes were drilled perfectly, directions were easy to follow, components assembled easily ! Overall, five-star rating.

Easy to put together. We're using it to put some of our parents china and unique antiques on it. It's a very good looking piece of furniture. Like I said earlier, it was easier to put together than others.

Perfect size to store all my books. Color was a good match to another cabinet that is in the room. However I knocked a star off because it came with the large back price missing. Customer service was great though and quickly sent it out. I received the bookshelf on a Wednesday, called about the missing part on Thursday morning, received the part on Saturday morning. 5 star service!

Bookshelf was what I expected. I've had a few sander pieces over the years. Only problem was a little damage on the upper end b3 molding has damage on the edge. Causing some discoloration.

Blemish on the back panel facing forward where you can see it. Quality is nice and I can live with it however inspector should have not passed it and replaced back panal Bob Hensley

The product is very nice. But something should be done step 19 where you flip the unit over. The middle where the bottom meets the top does not have any support to keep it from sagging. Which if you to happen to put a little pressure on the unit while screwing in the pan head screw the unit will give and crack. Which is what happen to me. I had to order part G. When the part came in I placed some pillows in the center. That made it a little bit more stable and I had no problem with finishing the build. Just want say thank you very much for sending out the part in such a timely manner. Sorry I gave it a 5 star for this problem.

The left and right sides should have been full pieces, not partials. Trying to turn it over. Part of it split. Had to but clamps to fix it.

Good news: This bookcase held more books than I anticipated and was easy for a 70 year old grandma to put together... time consuming but doable. Bad news: One of the bags of screws was one short! (I had to use an alternative) One of the back panels didn't have all the holes as shown in the directions, for nails & screws. Good thing grandma has a drill! It's obviously not real wood... you get what you pay for. Fun news: I laughed at the couple of jokes in the directions. Cute
