The best sardines I have found besides King Oscar. Love the lemon and the sardines are always big and taste great.

I got it because of cute package and the fact that sardines are wild caught , however the taste is horrible. Sardines are very mushy and they stink

Absolutely NOT!!
These sardines were mushy to the point of almost falling apart. The flavor was not at all impressive. The lemon was barely there. I believe the only thing I paid for was the fancy box it's in cased in!

ok. So I recently saw the new episode of Dr. Berg talking about the sardine fast. You eat 3 cans of sardines for 3 days and only water. I think everyone else already saw this too because I went to Sp**ts and this one was all that was left so I bought it. I was scared to eat it because I have never had sardines before and the thought kinda grossed me out. But I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! They are super mild and, and if you add a little salt they actually taste good! I can definitely do this for 3 days!

Disappointment
If you're curious, they might be worth the $7.99 to satisfy your itch, but in my opinion, they aren't worth the price. The fish didn't look particularly fresh, and the portion is small (about two and a half pieces). While they are marketed as "preserved in lemon," I couldn't taste any lemon at all. The only giveaway was the pulp and a faint, slightly "off" stale citrus aftertaste. Texture-wise, they were somehow both oily and dry. Don't believe the social media hype on this one. If you want to try this brand, try the mackerel, that one was actually decent.

Eww no
I’ve tried almost every single sardine brand. This is by far the worst I’ve had. Maybe I had a bad batch but very strong odor I know it’s fish but man it stank. The others I’ve had don’t smell rotten.

Why
The quality of the sardine was fine but I hate the flavor. The lemon was so bitter and gross and the fatty jelly pieces were taking up half the can. Gross

Give this a try!
I’ve been eating king Oscar sardines and decided to give these a try. Far superior I think in taste and texture, no fishy smell when I opened the can and they tasted great. I sautéd mine in a tiny bit of pesto and that’s it. Would recommend!

Good Deenz for Sure
Large pilchard type sardines that are somewhat firm canned in good-tasting olive oil. The lemon component is actually thin slices of preserved lemon which add a nice complementary flavor element.

Yuck
Large gelatinous pieces found inside. I’m disgusted. This is unacceptable for the astronomical price.

Excellent for tinned fish lovers!
While I am not used to spending $7 on one tin of sardines, I must say that I don't regret it! I'd been seeing some videos of people using these in pasta dishes and did that with my tin as well. It felt like they deserved something a little more ceremonious than just plopping the little fish on crackers. I sautéed garlic and added some braised tomatoes i had leftover and a bit more preserved lemon I already had on hand. I tossed in the sardines and pasta and it was a really tasty dish! The sardines themselves were nice and plump, not too salty or mushy. The preserved lemon is subtle and mild. I will gladly buy these again to make myself another delicious pasta and to give as gifts

One of my favorite tinfish! I'll definitely be buying more. I sautéed them with onions and garlic. A small dash of soy sauce before adding the sardines in. I paired them with baguettes, jalapeños, and mozzarella cheese.

Bland
Not much of a lemon flavor. There is no tartness or saltiness at all. There is lemon in the tin but it doesn’t do much to flavor unfortunately. There is no fish is fine, but bland.

My favorite tinned sardine
My favorite brand of sardines with lemony flavor. I use all the oil too. Great in pasta and just plain rice with extra squeeze of lemon juice. The sardines are high quality, moist and tender.

Incredible
These are so good. I like sardines but when the added preserved lemon is in them, I LOVE them. Please keep stocking them. Price is unbeatable. I made them with GF pasta with blanched spinach and used the remaining oil from the can to toss the noodles into. Lightly salted and some olive oil.
