Medela Recyclable Breast Milk Storage Bags - 100ct

DO NOT BUY!!! Medela used to be so good! Their quality has gone down and now I'm crying over spilled milk. I have lost dozens of precious breastmilk because the bags become brittle when frozen and leak when thawed. Random holes are only apparent when thawing and can't be avoided. It's an understatement to say I'm disappointed.

I used these bags for my freezer stash from my baby. I was an oversupply and have quite the stash, but since I have been using it when I warm them up in warm water they have been leaking. Probably 1 in 3 have leaked and I have lost milk.

Love the seperate pour spout featured and the nighttime/daytime symbols. Makes it easy to use and identify!

Pros: thick material, stands up on its own pretty good, wide opening to pour the milk in, separate pour out spout. Con: pour out spout too wide

My favorite storage bags. I like that they are a stiffer plastic vs really flimsy or too stiff like the other brands. The opening is wide, which I like too. It’s much easier to fill, store, and pour. They have never leaked for me. I also like that they hold 7oz. I think my ONLY complaint is that SOMETIMES (maybe like 1/100) the pour tab rips before it’s completely opened, but I have no problem pouring out the milk after ripping it again.

These freeze nice and flat but the pouring is a mess. The pour spout is huge and awkward. They spill every time and it's next to impossible to get all the milk out. I wont buy these again.

Why did they change packaging ???!!! I do not like this new packaging

By far the best storage bags I’ve ever used. I love that they do not leak that they secure everything sealed and tight and the easy pour is really helpful. I can’t go back to any other bags like before.

These bags are worth it! the tabs are super easy to remove and the shape of the bags make it super easy to pour and not spill! I have spilled so much and these bags have helped so much!

I’ve always preferred Medela milk bags over any other brand my insurance gave me because of the texture and durability of the bag but these new bags are great! I could pour milk one handed and not spill a drop! There’s absolute not even an ounce left in the bag after pouring like there is with other bags, zero waste!

I have been using these bag for a little while now and I absolutely love them! It truly is easy to pour and I’ve never used a breast milk bag like this before. Love that you can pour one more extra ounce than my last bags. I highly recommend these bags for all moms storing their milk. They freeze flat and also when you pour in the milk they stand up well. These bags check every box moms are looking for to store milk!

They are so much more convenient from other bags I've used in the past. I loved the our spouts and I haven't had any spills or leaks using them for several weeks now, which is a game changer. My favorite feature is the inverted label to easily read dates/volume while they're laying flat. I'd definitely recommend these to any pumping/bf mama.

My opinions are my own Look and design of the milk bag is clean and functional, I liked that there was the tear off for the milk bag on the top to pour the milk into, and that there was a separate spout on the side to pour milk out of, because we all know what a pain in the butt it is to pour milk out the top. Milk ends up getting trapped in the zipper part, and if you ever tried to reseal the milk fat will congeal and it looks gross. The pouring "step 2" was super easy to use! Material- this bag is made of the more stiff and crinkly type material as opposed to some other milk bags that are more malleable plastic. It doesn’t bother me because the stiffness helps it stand up better and also it is recyclable! Leakage- No leakage to speak of! Other than if you rip off the step two seal then milk will come out and you cannot reseal, but otherwise the milk all stayed in well! Happy with the performance I loved that this bag freezes super duper flat, but one thing to note is because it freezes super flat, the bag is stiff and the measurement part in front is hard to read accurately. That doesn't bother me because when I pump into bottles and transfer, I can read on the bottles how much there is, then I just write that onto the tags on the bags. Easy peasy! Best feature- they can be recycled! Makes me feel much less guilty about using so many plastic bags You can see in my photos where the milk would come out the second rip tag side spout. It is super easy to use. Also, this bag goes up to 7oz instead of the normal 6!

The spout was easy to open and awesome for one-handed use! The bags have a large capacity and froze pretty flat. With the amount that I pump and need to store, freezing flat is really important. I also liked the thickness and feel of the mag. They were sturdy and didn’t fall over when I filled them. Thanks to the Stellar testing panel for providing these bags for me to try! They are definitely on my short list of bags I really enjoy!

I’m really impressed with the new design of the Medela bags compared to the previous version. The wider opening makes pouring milk into the bag much easier, and the spout is incredibly convenient for dispensing milk. Unlike other milk bags, this spout is flush with the bag, which allows for a smooth, controlled pour. The pull tabs are a fantastic addition, making it effortless to open the top and spout cleanly. These bags are also exceptionally sturdy; I’ve frozen several without any issues or leaks. They freeze flat, though their large capacity means they take up more space in the freezer than I’d like. Since my baby usually consumes only 3-4 oz at a time, a smaller size would be more practical for my needs. Despite this, I’m very satisfied with these bags and would definitely consider purchasing them again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This new design comes in a higher oz capacity than normal breast milk storage bags and a nice rip away part for a spout to easily pour your milk. I've used Medela bags before and appreciate how sturdy the bags are. It really shines here because the thickness of the bag and the larger bottom helps it stand up so you don't worry about it falling and milk getting everywhere. These bags are so ingenious with the addition of the rip away spout to make it easier to pour milk. I wish the arrow for the spout went all the way to the edge of the bag, which would help me aim better when pouring. But overall, the pour worked really well. I do appreciate the larger capacity (7oz!) and found that it still froze flat and pretty easy without leaking even with the larger capacity. Overall great product I would recommend. My favorite feature is the quality of the plastic and the amount of milk these bags hold. I felt these bags were roomier and still flexible compared to other brands I have tried. However I found it easier to just unzip the bag from the top rather than use the pour spout on the side. It almost defeats the purpose of the bags. I found the pour spout to be very small and cumbersome when pouring out milk. In fact, I felt that milk spilled more easily while pouring out of the pour spout on the side. I did not see much difference either from other brands I have tried when freezing the bags flat. I also found the inverted label to be quite small and almost wish there was more room to write down information. Overall the quality of the bags was great but they won’t be my go to bags for breast milk storage.

My favorite feature is being able to lay them flat and stack them in the freezer. I had been dragging my feet on building a freezer stash but these made it so much easier. My husband uses frozen milk most often to feed our nlbaby and he was super impressed with the pour spout. These will continue to be our go to for milk storage!

The efficient design of the bags made everything easier; from pouring the milk, having the bag to stand up, squeezing out the air, sealing properly, to freezing amazingly. The tear-out pouring spout is also a game changer. Honestly, I don’t want to use another bag again! No leaking, no spilling, no stress about whether the bag will cave in and mess the milk everywhere whilst pouring. Especially because I usually have to do this whole process with one hand! I love the upside down label too. Even my husband could figure out which bag to pull from the freezer for the next feed! These bags also created much more space in the freezer and could be neatly stacked too. It’s also such a bonus that they’re recyclable- it takes away a lot of the guilt that comes with pumping and having to use single-use plastics that just go to waste. This is an amazing extra feature knowing your milk is being stored in safe plastics too!
