While incredibly cute (and my cats love it) the quality is pretty poor. I ordered one which caved in after a few weeks. Thinking it was defective, I ordered a second, which caved in after just a few days of use. My cats are not desctructive with it and simply enjoy lounging on top of it. They also do not exceed the weight limit, which makes this product pretty dissappointing. It's a shame too, because it's super cute.

Super cute. Hard to put together without tearing up the cardboard. While the top is meant to be used, an average size cats weight will likely break. Still worth it. My babes love it

I love this cat scratcher, and so does my cat! It took me about 10 minutes to put together, which wasn’t too bad. I could see how it might be tricky for some people, but if you’re familiar with how these usually go, it’s not too hard. Once it’s all set up, it’s super sturdy. The scratchers don’t wobble or feel like they’re going to fall out. Plus, it’s absolutely adorable! It’s bigger than other ones I’ve bought, which is a nice surprise. I especially love that there’s a scratcher inside and another on the roof. My kitty took to it right away and has plenty of space to relax inside. Overall, it’s well-made, cute, and my cat is obsessed with it. Definitely worth it!

I built this by myself (and one very curious cat) and thought it was more complicated than some other cardboard cat houses, but it wasn't difficult if you've ever built anything 3D out of paper. I followed the advice of another reviewer and attached the two side panels (yellow and orange) starting with the top edge where the most pieces need to line up.

I love that this is themed on biscuit making. One of my cats loves kneading her bed and loves her crunchy food, which we always call biscuits. I love that once this scratcher/house is assembled it is sturdy. My cats both enjoy scratching the lower level and competing for the house space. Con: the instructions were fine except for the upper level corners. There are tabs at the corners that the instructions didn't call out what to do with them. I improvised what seemed to work best and got it built alone. The instructions do say it might be easier with 2 people, and I think that's true for the initial frame. I did have a helper, but he was too busy supervising to lend a paw.

Never have i ever tried to put a box together that ripped as you put it together. The box the item came in was more durable than this item. It's going back.

I love this double decker cat scratcher! Sir Zeus is 16lbs and it can hold his weight at the top just fine, I bought this because my corgi likes to tear up their cardboard scratchers, he can’t get to these.

As a proud holder of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, I approached this cat scratcher with confidence. Quickly coming to realize that IKEA furniture is a warm-up act. You’re greeted with seven interlocking pieces of cardboard, each folded into what I can only describe as origami with a grudge. These pieces are held together by a marvel of modern design—double compound folding flaps. This isn’t just a cat scratcher; it’s a thesis project. The concept is, in theory, well-architected. It’s designed to stay together under the weight of feline judgment. And it does! But only after 45 to 60 minutes -- as my cats watched me full of disdain, silently judging every misfold and failed tab alignment. In the end.... I got it done... with the back side where the front side should be. Ooops. Highly recommend—just make sure you block out your afternoon!

As soon as assembly was complete, my cats got in and started enjoying themselves. Assembly required some focus but was not difficult - about 40 minutes.

a task and a half to assemble but it’s rare you get a two tiered scratcher from boots. i’m ordered 3 more because I hate myself but my cat LOVES having two tiers to scratch and hide on.

Don’t forget to put the first scratched inside before you close it up! It was difficult to slide the tabs in without other tabs popping out. Daughter held it for me a couple of times. My 15 lbs cat immediately went to work inside, hasn’t hopped on top yet. Bout time he started contributing to this household!

This took about 20 mins to set up on my own and the corners were a bit hard to get in the cardboard without bending it up or ripping it. My older cat will roll around while sunbathing up on top and my younger cat likes to surprise her by poking her head or paw out to play with her. I’ve had them chase toys around this and I feel like this has helped them play together more. I think the 2 scratchers help in a 2 cat household because they both have their own scratch pad. I just wish it came with catnip!

This is honestly the best scratch item for your cat! Loki loves using both the upper and lower parts of the box and jumped into it immediately! The construction was a little challenging (honing my origami skills lol). The instructions mention starting from the bottom and working up when putting on the sides but I found it easier to do it in reverse working top down.
The kitties love it

Two of my cats tried to get in before we finished putting it together. It's so cute and I put it under the window so they can sit on top and look outside. They love it!
