I upgraded to the Black iPhone16 Pro Max about a year ago and have used this case since I got my new phone. It’s great and aesthetic. I’m notorious for dropping my phone and it’s held up well. When this one eventually needs to go, I will rebuy.

Cover doesn't protect screen for Iphone 16 Pro
Just bought my iPhone 16 Pro and this particular case, I dropped my phone off the counter and it damaged my new screen protector on both top corners. I returned this case as it does not protect over the phone corners.

A miraculous phone case
I bought this case bc it was cute and felt durable. Little did I know - a few months later, I would put its durability to the test by (drunkenly) dropping my phone off the balcony of my Punta Cana hotel room. I HELPLESSLY watched my only means of communication with my family, my COUNTRY, freefall 30+ feet, finally landing on the roof of the bar below our room, facing up. It was dark and I could see the screen was illuminated. But I was sure it’d be damaged and at a minimum require a visit to an apple store. I found a hotel worker capable of reaching the roof and couldnt believe my eyes. I had no screen protector and this case. The case was super scuffed along the top side of my phone but other than that, my phone was in mint condition. No cracks, no shattered back or screen, youd never know id dropped it. Now idk if this is a testament to the case or apples ingenuity of the iphone 16 (Im thinking both) but I am so grateful the case did its job. Truly went above and beyond given how far it fell 😂 I never write reviews and am here a month later bc I’m buying this same case again due to the damage my current one sustained from this incident. TLDR - buy this case.

I’ve purchased this case several times for my other phones. I noticed for the 16pro lines the case quality is much cheaper as the tortoise appears to be a sticker and is not custom made within the case. Cheaper production but still same expensive price.

I LOVE the tortoise shell color, it’s very simple and basic. This case is super cute! I knocked a star off because $55 for an iPhone case is kinda crazy, I understand it’s designer but still. I did get a new phone and I needed something in the meantime, so it serves its purpose! I would recommend.
