Hatch Restore 2 Bedside Sleep Guide Sunrise Alarm Clock Sound Machine

Got this restore 3 as a replacement for my restore 1 that suddenly stopped working. I was excited for a new device, especially the improved physical controls. However, I was surprised to find out that my restore 1 routine was completely inaccessible on the restore 3. None of the content I had depended on for years every night to help me sleep was available, and I had to make an entirely new routine from scratch. The most frustrating part of the whole experience was realizing that the content I had just been pushed into paying for was worse than the content I had accessed for free with my restore 1. And to add insult to injury, I had to take an unnecessary and lengthy quiz just to get to that content. Really disappointed in this experience and I'll never recommend to anyone again.

I've really enjoyed my Hatch in general, I do wish you could adjust the snooze time, and of course requiring an extra subscription for full content access feels a bit much.

My Hatch clock is great. I feel I can sleep longer now knowing I have a reliable clock.

Unfortunately, the hatch broke within only a few months of owning it. It is beautiful and it worked well for white noise at the beginning but I'm disappointed that it cost so much and I was only able to use it for a short amount of time before it simply didn't work at any outlet. . . I tried three separate locations.

I’d like to have it set where a nighttime routine be it music, etc start at a certain time like my sunrise and alarm dies but I don’t see that as an option?

The Hatch 3 has changed my life and I cannot live without it!

The Hatch alarm clock has made my mornings better as a tired teacher. Waking up gradually to the sounds of birds and a sunrise is something I never thought I needed, but it truly has made waking up a MUCH better experience.

I bought this for my adult daughter she loves it! I only have a 2 and it’s wonderful and so nice to wake up with a sunrise and not a blaring alarm. I also like the stories and different relaxation modes

I wish there more of a selection for the routine, and an option to use with headphones, my husband is not a fan of the meditation. Would like to be able to play just colored noises.

I have really enjoyed my Hatch. The unwinding routine has been a game changer for me. It’s allowed me to rest and prepare my body to sleep, helping me fall asleep way quicker! I also have just been feeling way more rested in the day which makes me feel like I’m getting better sleep through the night! I definitely recommend!

I was never able to use the device as I did not know that wi-fi was required for it to operate. I live in a very rural area and internet/wi-fi is not very reliable so I do not waster my money on that service.

I initially bought the hatch restore 2, which I liked but the speakers started to show through the linen (aesthetic stuff can keep me up at night). Thankfully they send me a new device which I appreciated, but the second hatch restore 2 looked darker towards the. Ottoman of the linen (like hardware was showing through (not a big deal to some, but challenging for my personality lol. I ended up giving it away because I saw that the hatch restore 3 came out and decided to start fresh and give it a go. I bought it for easier wake up and to have the ability to have a brown noise machine that didn’t interfere with me being able to play an audiobook or music or a podcast with headphones/my phone while I was going to sleep. I’ll be honest it took me a while to fully get into using and exploring all the features because my sleep and week was so out of whack. I was a bit bummed to find out that the Hatch restore three didn’t have the morning moments anymore because I finally got around to wanting to explore meditating in the morning through the hatch and not having to use my phone. But I use the insight timer app for free so not a major tragedy (would be so awesome if hatch could partner with Insight timer to add meditation content and bring the morning capabilities back (ie, turn off the alarm and move into a 5-20 min guided meditation). I also think the idea of the nightlight is really cool, but I haven’t actually used it because it’s so bright. It’d be awesome if you could personalize the nightlight light and brightness through the app as well, and if we’re getting nitpicky, I also feel like it would’ve been nice to have this be a button rather than an up and down slide because the slide is a little stiff (but that could just be me who knows). I do like the new knob on top to be able to easily turn up or down the volume. And I really like the meditative flute and the new harmony at dawn sounds…I wish there were more like this as well! Perhaps I’m missing something as I get adjusted to the Restore 3 version, but it seems like pressing the knob and pressing the button to the right of the knob on top do the same thing? Except the knob can stop the alarms/sounds, etc but the right button only skips through them? Anyway, I rarely take the time to review items either negatively or positively, but I do think after some time playing around with it and getting used to it and finally starting to try to use it to its full potential, it is worth it. It’s beautiful, it’s functional, it does make waking up easier for me… I’m not even in a super dark room and I generally wake up before the music even goes off but sometimes I’ll still let it play because it’s nice. Previous to this I was waking up with a vibration on my Apple Watch because I hate jarring alarms, and although that isn’t bad, it was also easy to snooze a bunch or dismiss. With Hatch I can ease into waking before I even fully realize it’s happening which is much better for me.

It’s one of the best things I have done for my sleep. It helps me relax at night and gently awakes me in the morning.

I wish it was more clearly labeled that this product doesn’t work with high-speed WiFi (5ghz). It’s not usable for me which is very unfortunate

It is the best alarm clock I have ever had. I do enjoy waking up to it and the cues to go to sleep are helpful reminders and the sleep sounds are so relaxing and realistic. My only reasons for rating it at a 3 are: 1. The speaker is already distorted, crackling, and sounds blown. 2. I had the hatch 2 which allowed for morning steps. I can't do that anymore so I find that to be a step down from a feature I really enjoyed.

Good Overall. I still wish there was more flexibility around the music and light. For example I wish music started playing later in the sunrise cycle, better yet if I could select when I want the music to come on. Additionally I would love if I could turn off the music without turning off the light when I’m waking up. Unfortunately right now it’s all or nothing

I’ve been having this issue pretty much since I got the Restore 3. The strip of lights in question is a straight line through the numbers, and has not gone away even after I’ve reset the clock a few times. The strip seems to be on a 100% brightness even when the clock is “off at night”. This has disturbed my sleep so bad that I had to get an eye mask to block out the light. It has done a good job waking me up peacefully in the morning, but overall it hasn’t really been a worthy upgrade from the Restore 2. I actually prefer the buttons and design of the 2 over this one.
