The fabric is a nice white linen type fabric. Nicer than expected. It is fairly easy to put together. Except the part of the trundle that makes it pop up. That is a really strange contraption and I'm still not sure how it will work. All in all it's a good bed for a kids too. Or guest room. The only reason I took off a star is because it smells awful when it first comes out of the box. I'm almost a week in and I can still smell it.
