Okay piece of furniture

It’s great once put together: unfortunately during the building process we found that there are missing holes in a few different spots so we had to drill our own holes. Also what isn’t able in pictures on the listing is the gap between the two mattress when you lift up the trundle to try and use as a bigger bed. It’ll do for what we’re using it for, mainly kids bed and occasional guests: but I wouldn’t buy again

I had high hopes for this bed and ordered because of the positive reviews. I am now certain that either those reviews were fake (now seeing that they came from the manufacturer’s website) or those customers received a very different product than I did. Upon receipt, I took all pieces out of the two boxes looking for the instructions, only to find there were none. I called Target Guest Services, spent 30 min on hold only to be told to call ModernLuxe and was given their phone number and email. I called them, spent more time on hold, only to find they outsource their customer service to a 3rd party who has no access to product information. I was told that because ModernLuxe is located overseas, they will email them, ask them to email me the instructions and it may take 2 business days. Two business days later, still no instructions, called again and was told the same thing. I found instructions for a similar product online, decided I’ve put together plenty of things like this and would go for it because I’m sick of having pieces and parts all over my house. As I started to try to assemble the bed, I got a closer look at the upholstery, noticing there were what appeared to be grease stains and sharpie marks on it. Additionally, the “nailhead trim” is 3 true nailheads per row, with blobs of connected metal running between them. Since I already recycled the packaging it came in, I was determined to make this work since I won’t be getting my money back. Many of the places that are supposed to have predrilled holes do not. Many of the predrilled holes that do exist do not match the brackets provided, meaning I had to drill new holes. At one point it took me and two other adult men to get all the pieces wrestled into place to fasten. Overall, I am completely disappointed in this purchase and the lack of support from the manufacturer. Skip this one and this brand for sure. Even on sale, it’s not worth it.

Its a no for me

I was super excited about this bed.. the convertible size was the solution we need for our guest space. I would love to be writing this review in regard to how functional the bed is, but unfortunately it’s so poorly made that we never even got that far. I was stopped at step one in the assembly instructions because the piece arrived too broken to be useable. We thought we would move on to the next step and circle back after getting a replacement part, but the pre drilled holes for step 2 do not line up with the brackets included for corner support. My fiancé is very handy and was able to force the brackets / drill a new hole, but moving on to the NEXT step had us mounting wheels to a base with NO guide holes. The materials themselves also have a strong unpleasant odor, but they feel decent/sturdy enough for the sale price point. If this had been manufactured in a way that made it possible to assemble I would say it would be worth it, but as is I would suggest skipping this one.

Upholstery Not Same Color

I'm not sure about functinality but I started setting up daybed and noticed the upholstery is not the same color. Really frustrated because now I have to disassemble, repack and return.

Beautiful daybed however, the trundle will not slide all the way in. We had to remove a locking wheel to get the trundle to close completely. I have tried to reach out to Target and Modernluxe for assistance without any actual help. I believe I just need one replacement part to fix the issue.

It was easy to assemble and works great in the space I needed it for. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because I think if you are not careful you will damage the front of the trundle pulling it out. the front of it is a little flimsy.
