Tasty with a zing!

Restaurant taste without restaurant
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great if you're looking for something with a curry base and looking to have a quick but gourmet meal that's got a different taste with several different spices without going to a fancy restaurant. The jar was packed with flavor. I had mine over rice , my wife had hers over potatoes and both were delicious. Wife thought it was a little spicy but she's super sensitive. Going to try the other one next

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently tried the Patak’s butter chicken simmer sauce and was honestly impressed with the flavor. It has a rich creamy texture with great balance of spices. It works really well with chicken and paneer. Hoping to try it with vegetables or tofu when I buy it again. If you enjoy India food but want something convenient and quick, I would definitely recommend giving Patak’s simmer sauce a try.

Creamy, Flavorful, and Easy to Use for a Quick Meal.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Suprisingly flavorful for a low fat sauce. The aroma is warm and savory, and the sauce has a nice balance of creaminess and tanginess without being too heavy. It coated the chicken and rice well and looked appetizing once heated. Te aftertaste is mildly spiced and not overpowering, which makes it good for people who want curry flavor without intense heat. I added extra peppers and onions to it (like you see in the picture) as I was cooking because I wanted extra spice.

Mixed Feelings
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My honest opinion we didn’t like it, it was the first time trying it and it felt like it was missing something. It has a good spice to it and that was the only thing we liked. I know it is low fat so i guess thats why it didn’t taste like the regular one. It smells like ginger and lemon i don’t know how to describe it but my kitchen was smelling like it for hours. Good value i can say! and if you like butter chicken this one is not expensive only cost like 5 bucks. I guess we are not used to this flavor but it wasn’t our favorite , i will definitely look for recipes to give it another try and see

A solid, reliable medium-spiced curry
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As far as jarred sauces go, Patak’s is one of the most consistent. It has a nice balance of acidity from the tomatoes and richness from the cream. It’s labeled as “medium”, which I find accurate- it has a slight warmth but won’t overwhelm people who are sensitive to spice. While it might not replace the 4-hours slow-cooked curry from restaurants, the spice blend (especially the cumin and coriander notes) is well-developed. It’s a great pantry staples for satisfying a curry craving.

It’s worth trying something new with a sauce that you typically use for a specific dish!! It added so much flavor and everyone loved the chili!! Wish there was more flavor
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Doesn’t have much flavor compared to other butter chickens I’ve tried. I think it’s due to the fact that it’s low fat. If i were to use this sauce again, I think I’d have to add some fat back in with dairy. It’s a good portion because I didn’t even use the whole bottle to make enough for my family with left overs. And the packaging is good - it’s the same as a typical pasta sauce.

Good flavor but difficult to justify purchasing multiple cans when meal prepping/cooking to feed many mouths
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family and I love Indian food, and I was excited to try this product. I tasted some of the sauce straight out of the can and found the flavor to be robust. It was not too spicy either, so I can even see the medium heat being suitable for younger children. However, I went in with the intention of cooking a large batch of vegetarian curry with this sauce, and it simply was not enough to feed everyone in my family. I had to add additional spices and coconut milk to properly simmer the curry. Unfortunately, while I do think the flavor of this sauce is nice, the price is not worth the small jar. If you’re looking for a simple way to serve curry for a large crowd, this is not an affordable solution. But it is nice for potentially feeding 2-3 people!
