Not bad but would only buy on sale

It’s ok. Worth a try when on sale though. I wonder if the people complaining they didn’t get the Tabasco sauce lifted the interior box. I lifted mine and the hot sauce was in the container, just got shifted out of place in transit.

Disappointed

well I know this is a great product but I bought for pickup intending to give as a gift and it was missing the hot sauce. didnt find out till hours later when we got home. Will attempt a return/replacement tomorrow. very disappointed

This is an Eating Experience Rather Than a Food!

This tinned fish is fantastic, and I would be happy to receive this as a gift! First, the packaging is adorable- the vibrant colors and design make you feel like you’re being pampered with an experience rather than just food. The little tobasco bottle is so cute, and pairs nicely with both flavors. This is a great work snack! The fish is very flavorful and packed in high quality oil. I ended up using the oil in my lunch later on because I didn’t want to waste it. The texture of the fish is moist and the taste is fresh. I like the variety that you get too. I highly reccomend!

Delicious Smoked fish gift set

If you are a smoked fish lover this is a great set for you! It is not dried out fish but it it is in oil and very flavorful. The mackerel has chili flakes in the olive oil so it is a bit spicy but the rainbow trout is not. It tastes a little like beef jerky. The Tabasco sauce is so tiny but can add some punch to the flavor . It’s a high calorie snack but also high protein and healthy!

I love this Fishwife canned fish!!!! The packaging is extremely adorable and the smoked rainbow trout and smoked mackerel taste amazing, tender, and full of flavor. I like adding them to my salads, and they are also delicious over rice. It even comes with the tiny hot sauce, which is perfect for the rice dishes. The beautiful packaging would make a lovely holiday gift. I highly recommend it.

I’ve always wanted to try Fishwife products because the packaging is so beautiful and I’ve heard great things about the fish. Glad I picked this up and the fish is absolutely delicious. I only tried the smoked rainbow trout and I inhaled the tin, no crackers needed. The trout was moist but not mushy and flaked easily with my fork. I’m excited to try the mackerel and I like the included recipe card. I am looking forward to trying more Fishwife products!

I have tried several of these canned fish from this brand and they have always been great. This gift set is no exception. The quality is great. Somehow they are able to lock in so much flavor into these while preserving some texture to the fish so it doesn't taste mushy. My favorite is the mackerel with chili flakes. It's not really spicy. The chili flavor is delicious. This set also come with a cute tiny bottle of hot sauce

What a cute gift set! It'd make a great hostess gift. Like all Fishwife products the packaging design is cute and functional. I will save the box and use it to store my Fishwife hoard. The fish itself was tender, rich and flavorful. The smoked mackerel with chili flakes was not too spicy. I loved the inclusion of the mini Tabasco bottle with the custom Fishwife label. However if I have anything to complain about it'd be that it is far too small an amount of hot sauce for two tins of fish.

We loved this!! We love tinned fish as a snack, but this came with a recipe card that had a bowl and a dip, both of which we made, and it really took the fish to the next level! What a treat and great surprise to have a full, gourmet meal idea. The first two photos show the rice bowl, which we supplemented with some other toppings, and the third photo is the dip, which we used sour cream for. Both were delicious! The box itself is very nice, colorful and sturdy, but bigger than it needs to be so it’s a little underwhelming to see what’s inside once you open it. Still, I highly recommend this!

This is the tinned fish gift set containing two Fishwife favorites. This gift set contains a small bottle of hot sauce and two varieties of fish in the tins. These are great for someone that loves a tinned fish, and can take these on the go. I enjoyed mine with a variety of vessels such as a tortilla chip, herb cracker, or even plain with a drizzle of the hot sauce on top.

I purchased the tinned fish gift set made by fishwife and it is both beautiful and delicious! The smoked rainbow trout is my favorite and has a great smokey flavor! The smoked makrel is very tastey too and the chili flakes give it just the right amount of spice and flavor! This set comes with a tiny bottle of Tabasco sauce and it is the perfect amount! We love this brand and the quality!

The gift box looks nice. It comes with two options of canned fish, a TINY bottle of Tabasco sauce and a nice recipe card. Both fish are fantastic but I like the Mackerel the most. The Tabasco is kind of unnecessary, the Mackerel is already a little spicy. I think the gift box should come with some crackers or something else. Fishwife canned fish is the best I've ever had, so it's a great gift for fish lovers.

Upon receipt, the gift box is hefty and colorful emphasizing the quality of the product purchased. When you open the box, it is slightly disappointing seeing the small size of each tin. The mackeral was smoky with a good heat. The trout was also flavorful. The Tabasco didn't really add to the set. Overall, great tasting product but would not purchase again due to the price point and what you actually get.
