Bob’s Red Mill® Vegi Soup Mix brings people together with a hearty blend of satisfying ingredients. An excellent source of fiber with 11g protein per serving. We combine wholesome green and yellow split peas, barley, lentils and pasta. As the soup cooks, the lentils and split peas soften, creating a thick, comforting texture perfect for sharing in just one hour. Easy and delicious!

We have bought this soup many times. Made following directions, it is delicious! A bag I bought recently had plain little pasta bits rather than alphabet shapes. Has that changed since my last bag? It was still great, but made me wonder!

Perfect for a cold winter day.

We just made this and added sautéed onions,garlic,plus added celery and carrots. After the soup cooked we added chopped kale. Yummy and healthy.

Perfect soup for a snowy day!

Was looking for a hardy soup on a snowy afternoon and this one hit the spot! I added fresh vegetables, seasonings, garlic, and vegetable broth. It turned out amazing!

Disappointed

. I followed the 1:4 directions, cooked for a hour and a half, but we found this soup too chewy and not brothy enough. Adding more water didn't help. Very disappointed.

Fills you up

Been using this to make an ad hoc soup/stew. Not a great cook by any means. My latest concoction uses a can of tomato paste, tbsp of Paprika, garlic salt, Organic lentil soup from a can, red potatoes and vegetable broth. been working to make it a bit more flavourful. I can tell you this, you don't need much to fill you up. Pretty impressed with this product. Would be cool if it came with flavour packs of some kind to get rid of the blandness.

Fantastic

Absolutely fantastic and easy mix, with alphabet surprises! We like to add chicken broth and some chopped chicken pieces for our favorite filling, healthy, delicious and economical soup meal!

Easy and healthy soup!

I made the veggie soup recipe on the back of the package then added lots of my own spices (basil, oregano, thyme, paprika, cumin, rosemary, True Lemon) and a splash of apple cider vinegar to cut the sweetness. Came out great!

A great product, highly recommended!

This is so easy to prepare, as the stove does most of the work since it simmers for an hour. It is so delicious and healthy. It is also so versatile as it can be made with water or broth (I prepared ours with vegetable broth and water, minced garlic and grinder Himalayan Pink Sea Salt with black pepper and roasted garlic.), and can add vegetables, etc. I highly recommend this product. A pouch of this soup mix with a soup pot, soup spoons and other related items will make a great gift, too.

a richly textured soup!

We added lots of additional fresh veggies to the soup mix, and found the variety of grains and beans was a perfect blend! We are now on our second pot, and it is a real. For one pot we found a fresh ginger and mushroom recipe online, and just added some new potatoes, and roasted butternut squash. I highly recommend this soup mix!

A Filling Meal and a Favorite Cat Toy

Take 1 cup of soup mix, add any other favorite items and let it simmer away until done. I always add broth to cook the beans. Just make sure you don't drop any of the soup mix on the floor. The cats like to bat the beans around. Warm rolls or corn bread made from one of Bob's flours rounds out a thrifty meal.

My favorite winter soup

I:ve eaten this soup for years and was disappointed to find local stores no longer carried it. I was so glad I can still order it on line. I use the blended soup recipe and add a potato, carrot, and a little can of ham. It’s delicious.
