This bunkie board is made with a sturdy steel frame and solid wooden slats that will provide the support needed to help your mattress last longer. The bunkie board adds support to bunk beds and daybeds and can also work as a box spring or slat replacement for recessed sit-in platform beds. Full, Queen and King sizes include a line of noise-free foam padding between the center bar and slats. Q: How are the bed slats secured? And are they able to be secured with screws for extra support?

A: Hello, thank you for your question. The slats are connected with Velcro strips to keep them evenly spaced and secured. To assemble, simply align the ends of the slats with the side rails of the bunkie board and press the Velcro firmly onto the designated areas along the rails. Worth it!
I got the full for my little ones bed and I is SO easy! Would absolutely recommend. Also side note, the styrafoam came in plastic and that was 👌🏻 perfection haha I would say the only downside was trying to get the slates perfectly straight with the Velcro but, that just me.

Cheaply made
The slats are cheaply made. They have splinters and haven’t been sanded and smoothed out. Also, they are not sturdy.

Sturdy

Simple to put together
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the metal bunkie board to use with my son's twin size bed frame. We were looking for a low profile option and this seemed to fit the bill. The four metal bars are easy to snap together and tighten with an allen wrench that is provided. The wood slats velcro in place easily. We feel it provides adequate support and the look that we desired.

Good support
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It came in a compact box . I wasn’t sure if it’ll be stable on my twin bed. It’s good quality . It has wooden slats fitting well in my twin bed. This metal bunk ie board with sodden slats definitely is good quality as it survives daily jumping by my monkeys .

Easy assembly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was super easy to put together, I had no issues when assembling and I was the only one putting it together. It was much lighter than I expected it to be. This was perfect for the bed frame I have in the guest room! So far it seems to be working well and seems super sturdy!
