If your tree has a female end plug towards the top, then it will be possible to power the topper using your tree. If your tree does not, then you may need to run an extension cord from the topper to your outlet. I ended up not liking the look of this on my tree but had thrown out the box so I couldn’t return it. The lights are a bright white and didn’t look right with the soft white lights of the tree. I really disliked the stark difference and ended up never turning it on all season. Will definitely look for a replacement next year.

Thank you for your feedback. LED warm lights are an imitation of the incandescent bulbs, and due to the differences in how the bulbs function, it is not possible to recreate that same exact hue. Is more of a cool white than a warm white. Wish it had an option to twinkle. It clips just fine to my tree. My biggest annoyance is that the plug is white and bulky making it hard to disguise amongst the branches. You can see a bit of the white box at the bottom of the picture.

You may need to bend the top branch down or gather several branches together to create a strong attachment point. It’s beautiful but wish there was a way for the star to plug directly into the artificial tree lights so you don’t have to run the star cord down the back and plug it in separately. Both the star and tree are from The Wondershop and therefore this shoukd be possible. The cord for the star barely reaches the outlet when on a 6.5ft tree
