Q: How do we connect the pinecones to the lights? Do we force it from the bottom because it is tight? There was no instructions on how to connect them. Thank you.

A: Remove the hard rubber piece at bottom of each pinecone. I used a chopstick to do this and also to widen the inside of it. Then carefully twist the light through the rubber piece from bottom up.

Cute idea, but the light is super dim.
Cute idea, but the lights are so tiny that barely any light shines through the pinecones, even in the dark. Assembling the string was a pain, as well. The pinecone holes were not big enough for the light (yes, I lined up the notched parts) and had to get out my handy drill to make the pinecone holes larger. I really wanted to add this string idea to my tree, but have now taken the pineconess off the string (because no light shines through) and am using them as table decor.

Not so grear
Pro: Very cute and appealing for fall to holiday season decorating. Con: The pine cones fall off the string of lights constantly. You barely have to touch them and they’ll fall off. I have them in a planter, so they’re not being blown by the wind. I don’t think they are truly outdoor compatible - one strand stopped working after 2 days. The price that I saw on the Target app didn’t match the in-store price either which was disappointing. (They were 2x the price!!)

Adorable concept. The lights have to be pushed into the bottom of the pine cones and it is very difficult. The fit is loose and the pine cones fall off. If you use them in a wreath or sitting on a table top they can still work. But if you hang up as shown in photo, some will fall off

Not worth it
These are cute, but not worth it and I’m considering returning them. Let’s start with the assembly. NO WHERE ON THIS BOX DOES IT SAY “Assembly Required”. Not even in the instructions is there any mention of how to assemble. The pinecones come separated from the light string. The opening on the pine cones where you put the lights through is so cheap and squeezed so it’s nearly impossible to pop the lights through and I hurt my thumb from the pressure needed. Second, glitter…everywhere. The installation process made it so messy. Third, the lights aren’t bright at all. For $20 I should really not be having to put these together, come on Target. A different price of $16 is also hidden under a sticker on the box. And a side note, there is no uniformity across the Target brand string lights from Halloween to Christmas to any other style. These are much shorter than the Halloween strings so the command strips needed some adjusting to hang these.

Did I just spend an hour and assembling, hurt my hands and paid $20 for an arts and crafts project that I didn't sign up for? Yes, yes, I did! Save your time and money since these lights are not assembled and you will get frustrated trying to put the lights into the plastic caps to go into the pinecones.

What a waste!
Utter waste of $20. When I opened the box, I was a little surprised to see that you have to assemble the string lights, inserting the light into the bottom of each pine cone. This wouldn’t be so bad if the lights actually connected to or stayed inside the pine cones, but with any movement whatsoever, the light and wire slide right back out of the bottom of the pine cone. I can’t believe they charge $20 for this. Wish I could give it zero stars!

Zero stars. You have to assemble and there are no directions. Complete pain to try to shove through. My helper found it is a tad easier if you twist. Both of us have sore fingers and small cuts. Glitter everywhere!! Haven’t even turned them on yet…bad product!!

When it comes none of the pinecones are on the lights which is fine. What isn’t fine is that you can’t even shove the lights through the pinecones so they constantly fall off. I was very disappointed since they were so pretty.

Pinecones fall off
Beware of the glitter that will go everywhere as well as the fact that you have to attach the pinecones and they do not attach reliably. You will have pinecones and glitter on your floor.

Loved last year's. This year's disappointing.
Pine cones do not stay attached to the string, so they really cannot be hung up reliably. They look roughly the same as the set I got last year, but are battery operated instead of plug in and three feet shorter.
