So many things wrong with this. The holes were in the totally wrong place so the framing wasn’t straight if fully screwed in. The wood is so flimsy that putting the screws in finger-tight destroyed the entire area around the holes. It’s super flimsy. Total waste of $40 and it will be returned ASAP.

Don’t understand why some people are having such bad issues with assembling this shelf. I had no issues at all. I was able to get it all assembled correctly. I love this shelf and I look forward to using it to store different things! Will definitely be getting at least one more. Highly recommend this shelf especially if you have a small space to fill.

Screws weren't long enough to hold the wood together. Will have to find some slightly longer (and possibly thicker) screws so I don't feel like I wasted my money on this.

I bought two of these. The first one went together fine. The second one had the wrong pieces so I exchanged it for another one. That one did not go together fine. When I put the screws into the particle board, the particle board shredded and the piece fell off. So now I'll have to return this one as well. So out of three of these only one is actually functional. So I would not recommend it as it is a crap shoot and you're only 33% likely to get one that works.

This broke during assembly easily. The screws are too short and the material is made of cheap wood pieces. I'm glad it broke because with or without the safety strap a kids weight could snap the shelf off.

This product is the epitome of garbage. The screws that are provided are too small, so the effect was that when I sat it up, every shelf fell off at every screw point. Not a single one held. I had no choice but to put it straight in the trash because the shelves broke in the process of falling off. It is laughable that a product like this was ever cleared by anyone for sale. Truly awful.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I purchased without looking at the reviews and I should have looked first. The screws are too short, they strip the hole, and it’s so cheap feeling. Save your time and money.

This is the absolute worst shelf I've ever purchased. The directions were not clear at all. The screws were difficult to line up with the holes, and the darn thing fell apart as soon as I picked it up and carried it to the space I wanted it. Complete waste of time and money

Somehow manages to be both flimsy and also shelves too hard to get screws into. Used a drill and it just spun the screws until there was no way to get then to stay in anyway. Ended up attaching the crossback support and stacking the shelves on without screwing them in, just so I can have a temporary place to stack cookbooks. But basically a waste of $30 and soon to be more junk in a landfill. Super disappointed- Target used to have quality small furniture items.
