Q: Another website it says the distance between slats for this bed is 3.5". But the previous question answered by a "brand expert" says 3". Can you confirm the distance between slats? My mattress requires 3 inches or less between slats.

A: I just chatted with Vanessa on the Zinus website who says the slats are 3.43" apart. It's enough difference so it doesn't meet the requirements for the latex mattress I have purchased that requires 3" or less. It would be lovely if the experts could provide consistently accurate info, as returns are such a hassle.

It's ok
I have never had metal bed frames so it’s my first experience. It’s a solid one but the holes in it didn’t lineup in one of the corners. Plus there were sharp raw edges that damaged my mattress when its surface touched one of those. 14 inch is very high allowing me to keep our travel bags under the frame. No noise when lying down on the bed. I recommend it for sure, good value and easy to assemble but I wouldn’t give it 5 stars. As a temporary bed frame it’s ok, looks nice and serves its purpose.

Why are the screws so short
The frame assembly directions were sraightforward. However as an elder, I am uncertain that the short screws will wear will. If they strip easily we will have to buy replacements and rebuild the frame. Its design is great and the pieces seem sturdy, and I really like the velcro system to keep slats in place
