Does it boil water? Yes. Does it whistle? Hmm…could be argued that it does, in fact, whistle after a very long time and with enough water in it. Does it lose its color? … Wait, what?? After a few uses I thought I noticed some discoloration, but chalked it up to an uneven paint job. But after using it just now, this extreme spot of discoloration appeared. Now I’m positive I’m not seeing things. This spot was NOT there before this morning’s boil!
