Q: Does the metal stand get hot when you put a hot dish on it? If so, wouldn't it damage a dining room table?

This oval baker is perfect for both baking and serving. The copper handled trivet that is can be placed in for serving is lovely! From oven to table is a great thing for hostesses. It is slightly rustic which lends charm to the dish.

Super cute. I love the look of the tray. I plan to use it for baked pasta dishes, yet have not tried it yet and unable to say how it well it works out. I wish there was handles on the actual bowl as it may be hard to get out of oven.

First of all, points for style. The only thing I love more than ceramics, is mixed materials with wood & brass or copper. Wood handles on anything is bae. The oval and rectangle versions of these are nice and solid, have a clean gloss on the inside. Minus a star because they don't have built in handles, which can make maneuvering a hot dish out of the oven, into the cradle, a bit tricky — especially with arthritis. Minus half a star bc the matte exteriors scratch against the brass and leave marks. I kept the round, fluted version bc I just had to have *one* and it's the cutest, imo :)

One of my favorite bakers. I even have it displayed since its so beautiful and saves space in my kitchen. It is displayed on my shelves and bakes perfectly. I am so glad its made of stoneware because that is my fave material that bakes evenly and rich and SO easy to clean! Comes right off and no need to soak. I love it all year!

I fell in loooooove when I saw this dish set with the cradle. I’ve honestly never seen one like this. I love the neutral details of the wooden handles and copper cradle. The dish is very sturdy and cooks and washes very well. I use this often for our dinners and think it just adds so much beauty to a table setting. It’s so functional as well. Being able to handle the hot dish to the table safely is so handy.

I bought this because I am always putting the pot on table for certain meals. I do not like doing that. This holds a lot of food.It is easy to transport from stove to table with the carrier. I do not have to worry about burning my self. It looks great. I am going to purchase the other pieces. Great for parties and dinner. It is something I use everyday.

Really beautiful serving dish for any season. The dish is smooth with a rough bottom. I like the look of the bottom, just not the feel of it. That didn't affect its use though and it washed up nicely. I think this will be a great serving piece for years to come. The only thing I noticed is that when the dish moves against the metal stand, parts of the metal coloring chip a bit but that wasn't a deal breaker for me.
