Q: Are these pillow protectors waterproof?

A: Target says for Standard size selection that the dimensions are: "Dimensions (Overall): 28.0 Inches (L), 20.0 Inches (W)" However, that is the measurement for a Queen sized pillow. A Standard pillow is 26 x 20.

I didn’t really understand the purpose of buying a pillow protector when I had pillowcases, but after my son had a bloody nose that seeped into his pillow, I understood. These pillow protectors are great for easy washing and guarding your pillow against stains. I was somewhat nervous about 100% polyester vs cotton, but they’re actually quite breathable.

I really like it. Haven’t had any issues with it. You actually can’t even tell it’s there. When looking directly at it, it just looks like a regular pillow. I haven’t done this yet and I’m sure you’re supposed to (it’s just not high on the priority list ) but the material isn’t bulky and you can add a pillowcase on top of the protector as well.

I know you get what you pay for, but the Target brand changed the zippers on these pillow protectors and they are really poor quality. It gets stuck SO easily and we've already ripped both of these new pillow protectors trying to get them zipped. They weren't always like this - so this review is also a request to please go back (or forward) to better zippers!

Nowhere in the item name, photos or description does it specify that these are microfiber. If you like microfiber then you can disregard this negative review. If you find the texture of microfiber to be as abhorrent as I do then this is for you.
