Q: I purchased an Apple Watch series 1 however I had to change out the original strap and I can’t find it if I need my watch screen repaired will I have an issue if I don’t have the original band?
A: Squaretrade policies do not cover lost or stolen devices, and usually losing a major component of a device would void the warranty. However, the Apple watch band is a part known to be interchangeable and the warranty can remain intact as an exception. Should the customer ever need to file a claim for their device it may be required to also send in the replacement band for service. We request the customer emails the identifying information of their warranty to socialhelps@squaretrade.com so we can be sure to notate the exception. - Kristopher
