Instructions were difficult to understand. They are very vague. The material kept catching on itself making it hard to work with.

The yarn in our kit was exactly as pictured on the package. Wonderful chenille yarn. However, the instructions... WOOF!!! So bad. Leaves EVERYTHING to be desired (and I actually know how to knit and crochet). When following the directions provided exactly, the pumpkin body is actually inside-out as many of the provided photos in other reviews show. It SHOULD look like braids up the side the pumpkin body though this can be accomplished by merely flipping it inside-out. The provided insert (fabric envelope for the stuffing) should be sewn shut before even knitting. In fact, the steps should be in this order: 1. Finger knit the stem. 2. Stuff the fabric envelope and sew shut. 3. THEN knit pumpkin body. In conclusion, look up a YouTube video for your instructions and have a thread and needle on hand for the stuffing insert.

My daughter loved this craft and it was really cute when finished. However the directions were awful. One of the instructions said “don’t tighten the screw” I believe it was supposed to say “skein” as in the yarn? Also, there are two pillow mcases included that are not mentioned at all in the directions and the photos don’t depict them either. So you need to put the stuffing into this pillowcase (photo) first and then put that whole thing into the pumpkin part before doing the yarn. We built them first and then had to take them apart and rebuild them with the pillowcase thing. The photos show stuffing being put directly into the yarn pumpkin.

So cute and a fun craft to do for the holidays! Most of their crafts are very creative and fun to do

Yarn different than shown on box, horrible instructions, incredibly frustrating.

Instructions and video online are not exactly the best and go way too fast so I deducted one star, but once you get the hang of it they are pretty cute. I did the white first and the orange second and you can tell how that second one I was more comfortable doing it.

The chenille yarn is not the same as pictured, and the printed pattern instructions are different from the video instructions (and neither set of instructions is very functional, to be honest). Based on finger knitting experience I was able to logic my way into creating these by looking at the stockinette outcome as pictured on the box, but I can't recommend this craft kit overall. The chenille yarn that comes with it is very floofy and it makes it more difficult to see where you are putting your loops. The stuffing is also a bit lacking - could have used more. However, since I have finished these and just got this kit from the store about 1.5 hours ago, I will give this 3 stars because they are cute, fast to make, I am a sucker for all things Halloween/autumn, and I will be able to reuse this general pattern again with better quality chenille.

Looked like a cute idea and has quality materials but we ended up with no completed project. Both the print Instructions and video are confusing to 2 experienced finger knitters . It turned into only frustration. I’d skip this kit for something else.

The concept of this is great. But the instructions are horrendous. The video and paper instructions say two different things, the video is too quick to catch the details and makes this overall way too difficult. I do not recommend this at all

Made this hand knitting project with my 11 year old, it was super fun and turned out great!

Seen a lotnof figner knit pumpkins on social media this year. Im assuming thats why this year instead of the loom pumpkins its this craft kit instead. I'd rather have the loom again. This was more of a pain than I thought and looks significantly easier in the tutorial vifeos than it actually is to do.

Yarn is fluffier texture than what appears in the pictures which makes it difficult to work with and final product does not turn out as hoped since you can’t see the pattern very well. Still fun activity for my almost 10 year old.
