Target resells defective product twice!
The candles themselves are what I expected, but a little dimmer than I would have liked. My problem was with Target. I had bought these candles at the store and they had obviously been returned. One of the candles was missing the screw in the battery compartment and the other candle's screw was stripped so you couldn't get into the battery compartment. I returned the candles to the store letting them know that they were defective and immediately ordered more candles online since the store didn't have any more in stock. A couple days later the candles arrived and they were the exact same defective candles that I had returned (lost screw and stripped screw). Frustrated that I would have to go back to the store again to return the same candles I already returned I had my husband break the battery lid so I could get inside the battery compartment.

**DO NOT PURCHASE** Wish I’d seen the reviews before purchasing these candles. Just like 97% of reviews said, the screw holding the battery compartment cover is unable to be removed. This is what happens when cheap parts are used. Will be returning. 😠

Screwed
I wouldn’t buy this again. It has a “try me” button with a wire that goes into the battery compartment held in place with a tiny screw. I can’t budge the screw to take the cover off. Consequently I can’t remove the cover to put in batteries and it won’t turn on with the wire in place. I cut the wire off. Damaged the candle trying different methods to remove the screw. Not happy.

Battry compartment siuper difficult to opeen
Could not open the battery compartment without stripping the screw and basically breaking the battery opening cover plate never got the screw loose. . The “try me” unit was super hard to remove. Wish it hadn’t been attached. The candles otherwise look good and operate.

Impossible to open battery compartment.
They put a screw on the battery compartment that was literally impossible to remove. I have to break the back off of it to get to the battery area, knocking some wax off the candle in the process. The other candle didn’t even have the battery so I don’t know why it was even necessary. It’s just going to sit on a candle holder. Why does it need a screw?

Poor Construction!!!!!
Bought 2 sets of these LED Pillar Candles...one candle has a screw to open the battery compartment...the first set when trying to unscrew it the candle cracked into 3 pieces...the second set tried to unscrew it and now the screw is stripped and unable to open it to put a battery in it....waste of money!

Do not buy !!!
These broke before I could even get them fully out of the package. I couldn’t access the battery compartment to remove the “try me” wire because the screw was completely stripped and when I tried to unscrew it, it cracked the candle in half. Horrible design!

Very difficult but maybe worth it
As other reviews stated, the screw on one of the candles is EXTREMELY difficult to take out. I had to use a screwdriver and follow up nail clippers to yank the screw out to get the "try me" wire out. The other candle came without a screw. So I am using both without screws, which seems fine. I wouldn't get this full price with all the hassle I went through. Nevertheless, beautiful flicker.

Difficult to access battery compartment
I’ve bought two sets of these and I can’t remove the tiny screw from the candle with the “try me” wiring. It has to be removed in order to access the battery compartment.

Please don't sell defective goods or resell
The second time going to the store. I told them about the screws on both boxes. NOW 2 new boxes one was tampered with and the other 2 were warped and had white lights one was warm. I wish I would of saw the reviews first :(((((
