Summary of reviews
These curtains are praised for their aesthetic appeal, quality fabric, and ability to darken rooms. However, many guests note that they do not provide complete blackout as advertised. They are effective in reducing light but not eliminating it entirely. The curtains are appreciated for their look and feel, but some guests are disappointed with their light-blocking performance.

NOT blackout

I bought a Threshold blackout curtain a couple of years ago that actually let NO light in. I was expecting the same thickness/quality with these. These are NOT blackout. A better description would be “room darkening”. I still see each individual line of light coming through from my closed blinds. It does what I need it to do personally but they are not blackout.

These are NOT blackout. They are very nice curtains but they do not keep all the sun out. I’m very disappointed by how much sun was coming into my window this morning.

These are definitely not blackout, but more of a room darkening. Theres a lot of light bleed, despite the sun never facing this window and there being closed 2” wood blinds behind them. They feel pretty lightweight, but the texture is nice.
Loved them!!

Nice curtains, not blackout

The curtains are nice for the price, but they are definitely not blackout. My photo was taken at 10:00am on an east-facing glass door. The curtains block a lot of sun, but if you are looking for full blackout, I wouldn’t buy these.

These are decent curtains, but they are not blackout as advertised. They block some, but not all, of the light. They fall nicely and look nice on the window, but I have been using them for a while now, and they are not even blackout in the winter when the sun is not as strong. The picture shows what they look like in daylight, even with blinds behind them. Not as advertised.

They are not really black out. You can see the window light in the curtain. I was hoping it was better than that bc we have a baby that takes naps.
Beautiful curtain but not blackout!

I love these curtains! They are the most beige boring things and I love that about them. But they are not blackout like they say. They just darken the room. So know that going in. They are definitely not worth $50 a pair. They should be $35 especially since they don't blackout. So I spent $150 on non-blackout curtains but I love how they look which is why I haven't returned them. The fabric is soft and doesn't feel plastic-y.

These are nice looking, but overtime they do let light through. These are NOT a blackout curtain. There are street lights outside my window, at first they blocked that light as well as daylight but now they really let it all shine through.

These are marketed as Blackout curtains but they do let minimal light shine through. If you are looking for total blackout curtains... go to cotsco. These are nothing like those and are actually worth the money. Also there is something in between the fabrics that you can see when light shines through.. will be returning.

As other reviewers have noted, these are nice-looking curtains but they're certainly not blackout. We have an east-facing bedroom and the curtains filter the light, but it's still extremely bright in the morning.
I love them

Im not sure how people are saying these AREN'T blackout curtains. I spent 30 mins reading reviews and going back and forth and got these. They absolutely do the job. My room was already warming up the first day of this heatwave and decided to go and grab curtains. My room is nearly pitch black now and the temperature has dropped a decent amount. These DO work. Im not sure if the sun is shining directly on some peoples windows but it feels like night time in my room now, thats how dark it is. If youre expecting 99.9% or 100% absolute blackout you arent seeing ANY semblance of light even barely through the curtains...you're not paying $50 for two panels. Just saying. These work well and for those looking for soemthing quick that actually darkens the room efficiently, these DO work

Giving these curtains 2 stars since they are really pretty, but they do not provide any sort of room darkening. I liked them, so I kept them and purchased a set of liners (that actually darken) on Amazon.

Love these curtains! Perfect for my son’s room and block out most light! Wish they weren’t so expensive since needed multiple packs but seem to be great quality!
