A: Hi, thanks for reaching out about 31.5" x 15.7" Rustic Floating Triple Cubby Shelf - Danya B.. he Danya B. Triple Cubby Shelf is a relatively heavy piece of furniture (made of laminated MDF), so how you hang it is the difference between a beautiful display and a collapsed wall. Are there pieces for anchoring? Yes. This shelf typically includes a standard mounting kit, which usually consists of: Metal Keyhole Brackets: These are pre-installed on the back of the unit. Drywall Anchors: Plastic "sleeves" that expand inside the wall. Screws: Designed to fit specifically into the anchors and the keyhole brackets. If I only use the screw, how sturdy is it? If by "only the screw" you mean screwing directly into drywall without an anchor, the answer is: Not sturdy at all. Drywall is essentially compressed chalk; a screw alone will eventually "cheese-wire" through the wall under the weight of the shelf plus your decor. However, there are two scenarios: Screwing into a Wall Stud (Best Case): If you drive the screw directly into a wooden 2x4 stud behind the drywall, it is extremely sturdy. You won't even need the plastic anchors. This is the gold standard for mounting. Using Only the Provided Anchors: This is "standard" sturdy. It will easily hold the shelf and light-to-medium items (books, small plants, photos). Screwing into Drywall Alone (Warning): Do not do this. The shelf weighs roughly 12–15 lbs empty. Without an anchor or a stud, it will likely fall off the wall within 24 hours.
