Q: When removing the tape can I use a hair dryer to apply heat to soften the tape for removal? Just wondering if doing this would make it easier to remove tape

A: Dear Tina. We have not tested our double side tape with a hair dryer, but we have noticed that this did work for some customers based on comments seen online.

A: Dear Harriett. You have to manual stack the pleats with your fingers to your desired length and it is hold in place with the exclusive "EZ Clips" included inside the packaging.

Q: When removing, do the sticky tapes rip-off the paint from window trim above?

A: Dear Vegetarian Target Shopper. It depends on the painted surface. If the painted surface is smooth and clean when the tape is applied, normally the paint willl not rip-off when it is removed.

Q: After using the blind in a temporary location, what can I use to cover the sticky part that attaches at the top so it can be re-used? I didn't keep the strip I took off of it.

A: Dear Sophie. Unfortunately, the double sided tape of this Temporary Window Shade is designed for one-time use only. It will not work properly if you reuse it.

Q: Can the length of this shade also be trimmed to size? For example, removing the finger grips, cutting to size then replacing them for use?

A: Dear IVYSANTAFE. The lenght can nbe trimmed. You can remove some pleats, but you need it to cut it carefully with scissors or a sharp knife.

These say they are 72” long… only if you iron the pleats out of them! Every other window covering rests easy at its described length, but not these. My windows are 53” long and these hang with 8-9 inches still uncovered! They’re 45” at best. Very disappointing. Yes, they’re inexpensive so I don’t expect the quality to be great. But I do expect an honest measurement.

We haven’t yet ordered custom fit blinds for a double window in an upstairs bathroom, so these were an easy addition until we can do so. They’re so easy to cut to size, and to install with the self adhesive. And you can’t beat the price! They’ve held up well for the past few months, filtering just enough light in the day time and completely blocking anything from outside viewing in the evenings. Highly recommend.

Works okay for a temporary window covering but the adhesive is too tacky. Once we were ready to install our permanent blinds, we had to use a lot of rubbing alcohol, glass cleaner, and razor blades to remove the adhesive.

These are a step up from the original… not so paper feeling and a great deal more sticky tape at the installation top. I will say they are not 72in… as they may be counting every single fold… so it’s more like 60ish inches once it’s up (50 at first and it relaxes to maybe 60). Keep that in mind if your window is 70in like mine, it will be open at the bottom. But they look nice and clean. Can’t beat the price.

Omg this is exactly what I've been looking for, we recently bought an older house and have a stained glass window by the stairs. In the summer I feel like alot of heat comes through and in winter cold are. This blocks out a lot of the sun that comes in through that window. Wish I would have found these last year.

These are great for when you are in a pinch and realize your rental doesn't come with blinds or shades and you want privacy without sacrificing natural light. These hold up better than I expected — pehaps too well. When I took one down to replace with a better cut to correct a gap I had, it took some of the paint off with it. So be VERY careful taking them down.
